Well Refereum has 100k users and was the main reason why Telegram had to up the group limits. So I guess the question is: Is Refereum the best ICO ever launched? Short answer..no.

Plus, many telegram groups build their user base from scam airdrops and contests and then change the name of the Group after, so numbers can be very deceiving. Just saying...

On the other hand, Polymath had capped at 50k users when that was the limit and they didn't even have an ICO and their launch was pretty epic so far if you base success off token price.

This is not a bad marker of course, but you need to evaluate comprehensively using at least a few markers for evaluation. For example, attendance at thematic exhibitions and conferences, as well as openness and willingness to communicate with the team and most importantly, is this business  needed for the market?!

I think that the number of users in the telegram shows people's interest in the project. And the greater the interest of the consumer, the more successful the ico will be. IMHO.

It's incredible to see how project after project picks up a way of doing things that's trending, now there are countless Telegrambounties, lot's of Chinese projects using this method, before a standard form that was used by many projects, it changes so fast.

telegrams are something new in the messenger industry. And going to ico is the next logical step towards domination in this market. Good-bye, WhatsApp and Viber!

No it's not about interest. Some users in telegram just joined the channel or group because that is part of requirements neither for bounties, airdrops and promotions or something like that.

But on the other hand, no doubt that communicating on Telegram is really convenient especially with crypto projects so today it's currently on heavy used and demand.

I'm not sure about all of telegram users are real humans. Sometimes the telegram can be manipulated to reach a lot of attention from the crypto users after seeing about a telegram group with a lot of people already joined in it.
I seem some icos that reached more than 50k users in the telegram too but i can take an example for that. Gonetwork is having so many people in telegram group but not all of them are a real person. This can't be a good measure to define how good ico itself.

This is just another social media platform that can connect with investors and other merchants. One of the many criteria to consider for finding a good and successful ICO is knowing the power of its own social community as more and more members of the community become ICO's success.

Telegram reached the most number of people when it comes to campaigns because it is easy to join and you will do nothing.
I think that is not the cause of success.
I think it is the social media that gives success to most bounties because it is their form of advertisement.
It is where they become popular.

Been seeing projects' Telegram groups blow up and I think that's an attribute of success. Personally, when I find a project, I do judge them by their social media presence. How active a telegram channel does say a lot with their demand.

With the rise of groups exceeding Telegram's 50k member cap...what do you guys think?

I think they use telegram to reach their investor and all supporters and I think its good because in telegram all the question and discussion  you want to know about the project they answer in telegram. So I think telegram is the new measures of the successful of ICO or project.

Bounty campaings of every project say that to join their telegram is a must due to this trende. The most success projects do an airdrop first to get as much telegram members as possible before token sale start. So yes, today telegram group is absoulte mesure of success  Shocked

With about 100 million active users Telegram is definitely top social space to advertise ICOs.
Really big ICO communities, like Envion for example, reached 40K people in Telegram.
It's extremely important for any ICO to create and manage it's own Announcements and Chat channels.

The thing I like about telegram is the live chatting no matter how many people in the group. It was set simple and easy to understand the command. It is simply interaction using message and images. For me, that is why more people is into telegram but to answer the question, telegram is one of the medium for the success of an ICO. Is it be new or not, as long as telegram wont prohibit ads it will be a good social media and promoting products and services.

Yes, i think it is one of the criteria for measuring successful ICOs. By observation, majority of successful ICOs most time had huge number of participants or community. Even the ICO project teams have discovered this and that is why try as much as possible to boost their communities.

Telegram is one of the way to remove duplicate accounts in the ico and most of the participants are choosing to join a campaign that has a telegram involved because it has a higher rate of success more than other campaign.

I don't see Telegram as the new solution for the community become in most of cases trolls will appear , chaos will start and from there is gonna be a mess. It's very essential to have stricted rulles on telegram so in this way you can have a nice and unite community. I think this is a rule that most of the ICO's and projects should have it implemented.
