Telegram is a good way to attract investors since this is easy to use and you can communicate with the managers right away. This is just like another social media platform that you can use to communicate and to advertise. It just that, you can just assign someone who can be around always to answer questions immediately.

And also, Telegram Channel could help other members and holders into keeping their altcoins instead of selling it out of panic so telegram is the best way to learn more from the channel and it is the source of almost everything related to the coin that you're holding.
That's why, I prefer checking telegram Channels than reading white papers, road maps, person's behind the projects and other factors.

Telegram is just the way to communicate with members and keep them updated with latest news and offerings. It has nothing to do with ICO success.

I don’t think that telegram is new measure of ICO success, maybe the better term for it is just contribute to make easy business communication inside the group. Let’s say that telegram is just the tool for the upcoming ICO for their advertisements also but the most important thing to look at ICOs are white paper and their roadmaps. I think successful ICO is based on what are the things they can really do and offer to the people.

Been seeing projects' Telegram groups blow up and I think that's an attribute of success. Personally, when I find a project, I do judge them by their social media presence. How active a telegram channel does say a lot with their demand.

With the rise of groups exceeding Telegram's 50k member cap...what do you guys think?

I think that Telegram can be a measure of success in means of communication. Telegram is an effective way for the admins to be able to interact with the people participating in the bounty campaign. Also Telegram is an effective way to announce the progress of the project because admins can pin messages on their telegram group chat.

Telegram doesn't define the project's success but it is an effective communication tool.

I do not think the connection of the telegram with ico will be very accurate. telegram is a social media forum. it is not about success

I started noticing that more and more people consider Telegram group size as one of the factors that show ICO visibility and the level of hype around it. It seems that it should attract people attention, lead to a successful ICO and strong uptrend performance on secondary market.
And for how long that is going to last, the day where icos begin to use that information is not that far away after all there are many campaigns that are already asking from the participants to join the telegram group and if that continues then soon enough that method is going to be as useless as many of the metrics that we use to try to get and idea if an ico is going to be successful.

I don't think it is , i use it to follow some coins. It seems very easy to randomly add people , and most people aren't leaving. And there are probably some other ways to artificially increase the amount of users they have. I'd say Whitepaper, roadmap and team still go before telegram activity.

Personally, I always check the amount of member first before joining.
Telegram member is not always the best measurement, but it's worth to consider it.

One of the many criteria to consider to spot a good and successful ICOs is knowing the strength of its own social community because the more the community members are the success of an ICO.

Are you sure that that is one of the criteria???

Telegram plays a great role in ICO.  Through this platform, updates and news regarding ICOs are easily transmitted to investors and bounty participants.  Just like other social media community, telegram boost the promotion of ICO that contribute to the success of project.  But I do not think that it will became a good criteria.  Still the criteria of a good project is based on the project proposal stated at whitepaper, developers and the number of investors who will support the project through investing on ICOs.

telegram is not a benchmark for judging an ICO to be successful or not because telegram is merely a means of liaison for investors, ICO teams and bounty hunters.
usually telegram is used by the ICO team when they have an important announcement for investors, so I think ICO will be successful not from the number of users in an ICO telegram. but from the uniqueness of a technology that will be launched in the ICO, the team is also very influential in determining the ICO will be successful or not.

all platforms must be closely related to social media such as feacebok or telegram and tweeter, because that is where campaigns can attract investors to join in

I think the telegram is a measure of success. There are too many people in the telegram from the projects that are airdropped.I think you need to be careful.

I do not consider this project successful, because Telegram and so will make a good profit to the owner. I think it's just advertising with the help of crypto currency.

Telegram is a terrible measure of success, ICOs can just force people to join and say hello to get an airdrop, 10,000 people all going "hi good project"
