I highly doubt that anyone prefers to sell at a price lower than the cost or investment. The decreasing value results to panic selling among holders which definitely has a huge impact on the market value itself. Pumps and dumps are common in cryptocurrency which we should have a clear understanding of by now. Panic selling only worsens the situation, just chill and see dumps as opportunities to invest at a low price.

Yes it can possible…if we check the history of Bitcoin than normally its go down on Chinese new year, the reason is that holidays & peoples celebrate new year & it is not possible without money so mostly people sells their bicoin so the difference in supply & demand is the main factor of dumping price in January.

So we can hope it will pump in March…nothing is 100% in crypto world but we can make assessment with the help of history.

I agree, when marketcap reaches $ 1 billion then I'm sure that dev. will do everything to improve or at least maintain, I never worry about the future of crypto because nowadays many conglomerates and big companies are behind.

the question is why bitcoin would be the biggest coin and not something else, if we believe that bitcoin is the ultimate thing than keep it if you believe that on the long run something is going to exchange it than buy / keep something else

Yes thats true, negative news related with Bitcoin affects the mindset of the investors and workers, so for the past week Bitcoin has been in huge dump probably because of the mad rush of its price last year and the banning of some countries , I didnt know yet whats the reason but I also believe that Bitcoin will be okay after Chinese New Year.

This will not happen all the time that we will be experiencing the downfall in the market value of the bitcoin. This is just for some period of time and after that, the market value of the bitcoin will once again start increasing and you will be having some handsome amount of profit at that time. Till that time, you need to be patient and that you need to hold your bitcoins by keeping them in your wallet.

Yes, it's possible. Since Bitcoin is volatile. The chances of its price to increase are very high. It won't take too long to see that bitcoin's price is gradually increasing. but. what I'm going to do it to trade half my bitcoin because I need money and the rest will be kept in my wallet.

Yep, it has moved from the price rate of $6000 to $8400 now, but has remained at $8400 since then. But I do ask myself, why are people always mentioning the Chinese in posts about Bitcoin, what has the Chinese have to do with Bitcoin, I thought they banned it from their country? Why I’m asking is because the op said that the price of Bitcoin has been rising since the Chinese carnival.

I really like to see it hits another all time high but it seems to be really hard right now because of the price fall that it had.

You are smart trader if you will wait the time that the price of the bitcoin goes up. You can satisfy your self if you will wait to your target price. This time is still not the right time for you to sell your bitcoin. You need to wait more months or even years.

I am sure that bitcoin would rise after some time. It wouldn't remain down for long, it is still the best cryptocurrency. It will pump again in two to three months time.

Looking at the current situation is indeed bitcoin increased. this is not too much and back to normal. but the price is now better than yesterday

Well, we still have some pretty good volume that has flowed into the market, everyone is still a bit scared it could be a bear trap which is the reason why the momentum to the upper side is still very low and no one wants to take that risk yet. So, eventually, this may cause us to move a little bit in the side ways for some while, I may be wrong, but it sure seems like and that could give the alts some space to do very well, before we start seeing some pretty good uptrend for bitcoin.

I am still very optimistic that the same scenario that played out last year will end up playing out this year. However, this is still more like a cross road and there is still a lot of uncertainty and fear on the charts. Most traders and investors are still very watchful and trying to play safe, so we really need a huge momentum for the bulls to show that the market is really ready for a bull run or testing the previous ATH and breaking it.

No doubt, it will go up. The question is how high it can climb? I will never risk to bet that it can reach 20-25 thousand again. Probably it can go close to 14 thousand. IMHO.

Yes, I realize that a lot of investors have been scared and sold their Bitcoin lately. I have invested a bit of BTC, maybe a little so I'm not afraid of fluctuations just because my strategy is long term investment. I would not be surprised if bitcoin prices rise sharply after the Lunar New Year.
