When gambling becomes someone's main hobby, of course he would not like to play other games that has no element of gambling directly and vice versa. Beside that, gambling gives a chance to get fast money that won't available at games online.

I've had online games as my main hobby as well as having gambling as my main hobby. Can't say I prefer either one over the other but gaming always brings me back considering I love it so damn much. Gambling has almost always been about money and sometimes you just get real sick about it if you are on a losing streak or whatever.

Yep exactly. It is easy to get corrupted if you've tasted that sweet big win at any time. I've had a few times where I've won tens of thousands of $ but I've also had times where I've lost the same amount.. Guess which one I'd prefer? .

This is so true .  I also experienced this kind of stuff.  It take me some time to fully recovered myself from being hooked to gambling.  But at least I never loses that huge amount of money, though I can say, I also won that 10 of thousand of $ playing in gambling site.  All we have to do is snap out of this feeling of being unbeatable and go back to reality that gambling might cause us our whole finance if left unchecked or mederated.

Because people do have different kinds of interest in terms of finding a past time for fun. But you cannot simply put a comparison between this two activities for they are way different from each other. Gambling is a good way of having fun in a profitable way somehow but its limited depending on your luck, you can win you can lose, either with cash or btc. While playing online games isnt that profitable. Youre paying electric bills, ISP , and hardware maintenance without winning a chip.

Yes, we all have what makes us tick, what er enjoy and those things we derive pleasure in. Personally, I am not a big fan of gambling but I have friends that visit casinos and once in a while I go with them with some little cash I could have used to watch a movie, do some extra fun and that is how I see gambling as well, so if I blow that, fun has ended and game too is just something I cannot do without as it makes me relax from the whole day's job or make use of the weekend.

People won't be clinging and playing gambling if they just want to have fun. It is the reality of life, money attracts people because we totally need it to survive in this world, expenses, daily needs and etc, we all need money for that. They can play online games but they will very much chose gambling over it because they can also get satisfaction from it and earn money from it. Maybe this way or method of earning is very wrong since what we need to do in order to have money is look for a real job which will pay us but some people take chances on playing because there is a chance of winning big amount of money without exerting too much effort and time.

What a good question you have there @diegz. It is possible that the OP doesn't know the feeling of having fun, getting excited and winning money at the same time. If people does want to have fun only, they will not likely play gambling that much and will just chose online games or any other activities. Since gambling give chances to have both, people will prefer gambling games over online games. We all are different people but one thing I am sure is that we all need money in order to survive in this world and lying around or sitting around while playing games won't give us that.

If people does want to have fun only, they will not likely play gambling that much and will just chose online games or any other activities. Since gambling give chances to have both, people will prefer gambling games over online games. We all are different people but one thing I am sure is that we all need money in order to survive in this world and lying around or sitting around while playing games won't give us that.

As you mentioned, we do have differences and that separate your minds to other's perceptions, playing online games to is also an addicting activities, though it can be much better as you just need to spend your time and a limited budget unlike in gambling when dealing with an addicted person, not only

Apart from that, of course the online game and gambling are very different characteristics in it, many people have a different hobbies, and it can be more focused on gambling than playing online games. In essence I think it's depends on each people, sometime some people judge an online game., it just for a kids.

Yes that is a best idea provided by you but the problem is that not much people know about these type of games websites. We can see that theer are many gambling websites which are continuously promoting their websites and people know about it so for the sake of fun they come to there and they gamble while the games sites have not much marketing so not much people know about these games websites.

Online games are amazing and no risk at all but some people see this in a different way and some people even if they said that they gamble for fun they still want to earn some money which makes them more interested. We have our own ways to have fun just make sure you can affor to pay for its cost.

stake. Winning or earning that money with gambling somehow boosts one's self esteem and skills, that stuff

Simply because it's more exciting and fun when there's money involve while you're playing. It can actually add some thrill and chills to the players and their eagerness that will push them to win the game. Just imagine a card game without money involved, players are dull and bored because at the end of the game it's just normal but if you said that there's some money to win you'll see the joy in their faces because they knew that if they'll win there's a money that awaits them.

You are totally right, I also noticed that now many online games are full of cancers they have cheated the games. It's actually fun to play and earn some at the same time. Most gamblers use that kind of excuse just to assure their selves that they are not actually addicted to gambling, but the truth is they are. Some gamblers start very slow, and end up addicted on gambling to the extent that they borrow money from friends and even sell their own property.

I agree. They should play online games instead of gambling and losing money in the process. They can just buy things on the MMORPG that can make them top players. Gamblers always want to spend, so I would recommend this as long as they stopped gambling. MMORPG's have its way of giving back when you are a top player, you can sell your loot on other players and earn the money you spent on the game.
