Why not play games online instead of gambling?

It gets harder to get pleasure from something when people grew, i'm betting instead of playing games because playing online games are for kids. In America, American football and basketball are the options but here in Turkey we usually play football and basketball. People love their teams enough to be hooligans, so adult people find the excitement they're looking for in gambling.

That's right. People, especially young people who love playing video games, think that nothing can be a better entertainment for anyone than playing those games online. Yet, for some others, like you and for example, these games are of no interest. I wouldn't play them even if I was paid $3 per hour, while I can play in a poker tournament with $3 buy-in for 2 hours, lose it and still be happy. I think the scenarios that unfold during a poker tournament (or at the cash game table) are much more interesting than those you can encounter playing a video game.

Because there’s a big difference about playing to win by fun and to win with profit lol

Look how many gamblers turns addicted?because of the Pot money in each game that they eager to get with intensity,while in gaming the only Pot you’ll have is the greatness from your opponent

So I guess this is the reason why more are interacting in gambling than just a online games

I think it's because in the gambling game is more challenge than the online games besides that, and there is money involve inside the games. That will be the most reason people playing gambling, but that is not happening in the gambling games too because I think some people will gamble while they play online game and sometimes, they used money too for the winner. I think in the competition of online games, the money will be given to the winner.

I do play that too but that doesn't mean that we can't gamble. I also go play basketball in real life but end up playing basketball in computer games too. Just because you can do one thing doesn't mean you can't do the other they are not relevant. I play computer games all the time but sometimes not many good games come out and I can't find anything to play and that is why I end up gambling. For example right now I am thorn between buying the new Chinese total war game or gambling the same amount and I don't know which one would give me more fun.

I love, I mean LOVE Rome total wars and even medieval ones but I played last shogun and I didn't like it, Asian style of warfare doesn't really appeal to me and I want more gore and strategy instead of drama involved, Chinese make it more personal instead of just economics and power. So I may end up spending the same amount on gambling instead and may have more fun.

It's a double purposes, thrill and earning at the same time if won. In playing online games we might find satisfaction on completing the game or winning in it, but nonetheless we know that when there's more reward we can get we can feel more thrilled as aiming to challenged ourselves on playing it. Though it really depends on our characteristics whether the gambling games may it be dice or cards entertained you the way adventure/action games does.

I agree, in online games you will be satisfied if you finished the task but at the end you will think it would be better if you have profits while doing so. Yes, most people would say they wanted to gamble for fun but the truth is, its not purely fun alone they also wanted to earn money from it that’s why they gamble instead of playing online games. Also the thrill that you feel while playing online game and gambling is different.

Both can be fun but for online games it is only fun at the beginning the longer you play you’ll feel tired and the thrill is also gone whereas if you gamble the thrill is always there every time you place bets and there’s always thrill when you play. Also you will feel challenge the longer you’ll play.

3. We [people] are really very lazy and want to earn money without doing any work, And gamble is the solution  i think.

Those games are playing against others and we can bet while enjoying the game lol

I also wondered why some people engage themselves in gambling instead of playing online games and I think the reason why is because of, some people may enjoy the fun of playing online games and other games as a pass time but some do not. Some people prefer to have fun and make money at the same time. This is the reason why some play games involving money and bets. The thrill and excitement every time they place bets especially if they win are nothing compared to those who play online games, that's what I think.

Please read some posts above to see that you can win big money, millions of USD in some cases, playing games online such as Dota , Fortnite, Counter-Strike etc. The main difference is that you have to be one in a million to start earning money playing these games, while in gambling anyone can win depending on luck. I'm not saying gambling is more suitable for making money, because I think that trying to make money with gambling is a bad idea overall, but statistically it is more likely to win $200 in gambling than earning that amount playing computer games like Fortnite. And regarding the fun component, it is a very controversial question, what, in fact, is more interesting to play, poker or Dota? For me it's the former, but I know there are people who prefer the latter.

I have heard alot about fortnite and watched some youtubers play it few years ago, never knew they pay some gamers.  Guess one must be really talented in gaming in order to qualify for such rewards?

And my laptop is also very old. No even free games from steams are running.
So iam good with a half hour gambling and then i use my computer for coding XD

Yes it is about money and trying a luck, but in the current era games online can also make a good source of income if you are an expert in certain games online that will have a good impact if you have channels that can be seen by many viewers. So in my opinion in the current era anything will have the same reason about money, and if you have skills in related matters then you will have good potential to earn income from whatever you do so far.

It is about the gambler that how he wants to deal with gambling, if he was to earn money it is good to play either it is online or simple gambling, choose a good game you are good at after that you can play with full concentration, bring your skills to use for it and earn good income with each gambling, don’t get involve in unknown or any new website, use well known and good websites.

It's not about money. Money can be involved both in games, such as tournaments for example.
Gambling has other features that provide you pleasure playing. For example, trying to set up a strategy to fool the casino makes you think that you are superior over them, if you know what i mean.

Yes, that is true. But some online games could be a good thing to relax and have fun too because I remember that I see my nephew playing a game and he really enjoys and has fun to play. I don't remember the name, but when I asked her about the game, he tells me that he doesn't have to play too serious because that game can bring him a new adventure and he doesn't have to push herself to think how to reach the next level.

in online games the money may be involved too. there are games with cash prizes or you can earn some stuff and sell them on the market.
