I think holding a shitcoin can be dangerous because it has absolutely nothing to offer at the end but may likely crash but if you have a potential altcoin and you hold it, no matter what may happen to the market, they will survive this period and increase as the market rise. That is why it is good to research about a coin before you invest in it and also note whether it has potential on short or long term holding.

Last year alts rise a lot. I dont know the average percentage. But when I check coins in the market at year 2013 lots of them dead now (too low ranks). probably new tech coins won them (like peercoin, namecoin, ixcoin etc)

Also we are following new ICO s and most of us expecting too much gain from new coins which are not at the market. If our ICO expectations will happen, when they added to market, current market coins will go down. kind of paradox  Huh

For me holding altcoin is not dangerous.... It is just a normal scenario in the market that sometimes the altcoin price will get high and sometimes will get low....  Well we all know that there always a fluctuations happening in the market so we should expect it....  Holding altcoin is not bad maybe today it has a low value but soon it will recover again....  Dont about it it is normal....

i my opinion most of altcoins will be 0 until 2020. everyday they make 10s ico. and at least 5 coins added coinsmarket. it is not sustainable

No, holding the altcoin will never be dangerous, they will give you more opportunity and choose a suitable price. So will be good for you. minimize the risk.

Of course it's dangerous. It's high risk, especially right now. But risk is rewarded, and the real question involves managing that risk and finding the optimal risk/reward ratio in every market. To be alive at all involves some risk, as Harold Macmillan noted. Often the difference between a successful person and a failure is not one has better abilities or ideas, but the courage that one has to bet on one's ideas, to take a calculated risk - and to act.

Risk is present in all areas of life, the risk in subcountries may be a little more, but if we can turn the crisis into an opportunity, the current levels could be a good opportunity for investment.

I think it kinda easily to predict the future of the coin, when you study well what technologie is behind the idea. If you understand that this technology will work only while its popular, than for sue it will die

It seems to me that not investing in cryptocurrencies is more dangerous than investing. Investing is more mathematically advantageous than just keeping money, for example, in a bank.

Depending on the type of coin you are holding, they will make you rich or they will make you poorer because of your choice. I think you should buy ETH would be best.

Hold in what you believe, if you cant cope with the risk/stress factor get out NOW! Every coin has risk attached to it, for now, it is just a matter of time when you sell.

Holding altcoins is good or bad it depends on whats coin you are holding . If you are holding some shitcoin with shit team member then yes holding altcoin are dangerous. But if you hold some good coins with good team and a good product then you can gain success. Dont buy some shitcoin for over night profit.
It seems to me that it is impossible to characterize everything altcoin It's bad for one image, Because if you analyze the project it has really promising opportunities in the future, then cold storage is completely justified.

I dont see why holding coins is dangerous. Maybe it depends on the time you hold it. I dont think you should hold a coin for more than two years..I think it will lose its value by then.

The retention of altcoins in the long term will never be completely safe. But if you keep altcoins, which contain a huge potential, you can make good money on this.

Surely it is dangerous Smiley But there's no other available way to cut your possible losses, so I really dunno what to recommend as an alternative option.

I do not think that . If you choose a project with a good foundation, you do not need to worry. Because the projects have good ideas and are used by many people to pay for the actual payments, these coins can not die.

By participating in different bounties and airdrops, I have come to the conclusion that holding altcoins for too long is not profitable because they tend to fall significantly in price compare to its value during the ICO period, so I prefer to sell my altcoins as soon as I get some good profit.

Long-term investment is not bad. Many coins only increase in price over time. It seems to me that any operations with a cryptocurrency are very dangerous. You must be ready for this.

Not really. As long as you're investing in the right project and it would be good on hodling it until the future or high price. Best way to check for good on holding is with their website, community social websites and how they coomunicate with their investors.

Personally, I do not think holding altcoin is dangerous but rather profitable except if you are greedy and do have a particular target for your coin, I believe when the price is high enough for you to make reasonable profit, you can sell and buy back when it is low rather than waiting to make huge profit and then the market fall causing loss.

No, holding is the best present invention that we should do. I think the market will continue to decline as the current, holding will ensure your capital more secure.
