A few days ago i found white paper with 260 pages! For a moment i said myself 'are they kidding?'...i think that some project should look on the meaning of 'simplicity' because if they can't explain their project on a few pages, how they could think that their project will be successful in the global scale? Some projects fortunatelly provide one page summary

whitepaper is a tool to help convey information of an ico project and I think it is important to read because we will know the prospect of ico being removed and reading it carefully is the thing to do even though it makes our heads get sick

Guys, why do you read white paper? I think if you want to soberly assess the project, especially if you want to invest your money in it, then white paper should be read from the beginning to the end.

Most of the time, I will carefully browsing the white paper, because through the white paper you can learn some of the ico project information, browsing is not the most important part of the white paper,, however, the most important thing is this team good enough.

Well truthfully, I just scan the whitepaper and look for some interesting facts that can I can find in the project. I've read a lot of whitepaper since I also translated some ICO WP, but there is no really guarantee that all said in the whitepaper are legit and can be really implemented. Ive seen ICO with promising WP and didn't even reach its closing and just declared failure. But still, its an advantage if you read and find that the project is feasible, redundant or just plain stupidity.

one thing i learn from experience is to never trust whitepaper, those white paper that are bit flashy are mostly scam and shitcoin, genuine whitepaper is simply written.majority of time i read whitepaper not just for ico but to gain knowledge and new idea ,there is lot of information one can learn.and if you are investing in a coin ,always try to increase its quantity rather than just hold it for weeks.

Let be real. How many of you guys actually read the whitepaper? I read whitepaper sometimes, but reading multiple of them can be a burden and a headache. Do you guys got any tips on getting through whitepaper a little faster. It killing a lot of time. Thank.

I do agree with you, me either is not a fun of reading a whitepaper because it is really a headache but this is really helpful. For now, what I'm doing is checking the link it self and watching their views and ads first since I'm already getting an idea from those then I go back to white paper for a quick scan. Waht I'm usually checking is the vision and mission of the project and just the overview.

I try to read the white paper, there often is the information I need about the project. I think that you can not make a decision about the project and investing if you do not open white paper.

Not always like this. Often a decision is made about the project without (full) reading his white paper. This can be negative feedback, very good reviews, hard to understand technical information.

Reading of white papers is very necessary so I don't joke with that. I make sure to at least go through some of it before I join any project. The fact is that, two kinds of people read the white paper, and they are the bounty hunters and the investors. Going through the whitepaper is very necessary for writing blogs and articles, and making a video about a project. It also help one to engage in discussion about the project. The other thing is when I'm investing into the project. It is not everything that can be found in telegram or social media group chats, websites and others but everything about the project you need is in the whitepaper so i do go through that before investing. Remember if you do not do such things, you might be ignorant if the project you are joining and you'll waste your money. So to me, they are very important so i read it

whitpaper needs to be read, because all rules and team structure, allocation of funds. all can be understood in whitepaper.
you just need to read about the purpose of the project, roadmap, allocation of funds, team structure. I think that's enough.

You know that reviews can be fake (or just written/filmed as a part of a bounty campaign), so we can trust no one but ourselves here in the Internet. Even though the crypto community can be considered as reliable, you are the one to make a final desicion about whether to invest or not.

Yes ofcourse, before joining campaign i read the white paper first. It is information to read the white paper to know about the project background and information. So it will help for you to identify if it is a good project or not.

jusr read what the important one. like founder, price, and what the future of that coin.

This is important to know what in the whitepaper is regarding the project.
Actually i just read the roadmap and the price and supply of coin. I will read for further if i think more interesting about the project.

I am sure large percentage of cryptocurrency trader and investors don't read whitepaper. Many cryptocurrency enthusiast could spot good and bad project from afar. That is not to say that reading whitepaper is useless. I think we should all endeavor to do it so we can hold project to account!

Sometimes, but its a must if youre a newbie one in the investment block, you have to read it so that you'll know what the ICO or the project was all about. And by there you'll know if it is a good thing to invest with, but some dont read it, they read comments about the ICO or the project.
