Im sure the most people do not read whitepapers. I think they are less then 5% who are investing in a ICO who read the Whitepapers. If im honest, i do not read it. I read the short about the project, and the opinion of other people in the telegram groups and hier on bitcointalk. If theres a real scam project, it will be clear. But they can write a very good white paper and it can be a scam too. You never know!

Sometimes, you know. In our case, it's pretty easy. It takes a second to make a pubmed search and verify that our scientific research is real

Not really, I just look the quality of the main thoughts in the whitepaper and the structure of explanation. Good ideas are easily explained by numbers and real value for business or people. When is so hard to read, that means that could be a scam because the main point of scammers is to create very difficult to understanding explanation and say that everything will be ok.

Reading white paper is truly eating a lot of time but if you want to avoid or lessen the loss in your investment, you need to read it. Being lazy will get you broke and a single mistake in investment is hard to recover. I am sure that most people who are investing in ICO do not read whitepapers.

If the project attracted my attention by a good team, first-class idea or successful advisers, then I will definitely read the white paper. I will not waste my time reading white paper of mediocre projects.

Yea, people out there will write your whitepaper for super cheap - with a bit of effort, i doubt most people could tell if it was a scam or not.

Reading whitepaper is essential to make any good investment. It gives a prespective about the goals, the notion behind the project and roadmap idea of the project. Only when i find the project worth from the whitepaper, i make my investment. It is a very important aspect which should not be skipped.

In any case and under any circumstances reading is mandatory especially when dealing with whitepapers is very important to generate a good investment. It gives an idea of the purpose, the ideas behind the project idea and the roadmap of the project, as this is a very important aspect that should not be skipped.

As a bounty participant I have never read any White Papers. It doesn't worth my time. I just look some rating sites like ICObench and then join or not. But investors must to read WP of course

Whitepaper is so long. So sometimes, I feel very lazy when I read it. But if I really want to invest in that project, I'll read it carefully

The material on the white paper is technically a project so not everyone will really understand, I myself read all the contents of the whitepaper but not everything I will understand, at least I take the meaning of what I read.

To be honest not always. I normally distrust anything that takes more than 2 pages to explain, because complex business are many times the wrong business, so not always no.

Sometimes you can get an onepager, that is great if you don't want to read a 40+ pages paper.

Actually it's just impossible to understand all White Papers and projects you have read. You can read all WP in all projects on BTT, but nobody can understand correctly all projects ideas and can't make a right prediction about it's future realization.

Yes of course. A whitepaper is the most important thing to read before you join the project. You can judge the project value only see the whitepaper.
