...Yes, historically and probably in the future, buying and holding will make MORE profit. But it's just not the same. Cheap beer will get you drunk, but it's not Fat Tire. Ya know?

Well that's the thing, if everyone ONLY bought and held, and no one were mining, the whole system would collapse.

All those BTC hoarders indirectly NEED more and more people to start mining, because that's what's needed to grow and strengthen the Bitcoin Network, and to raise the value.

BTC miners are like the "canary in the coalmine" , demonstrating for the whole world how hard (and therefor valuable) it is to get to those bitcoins.

So EVERYTHING rises or falls depending on those miners.
So I respect them, they are the ones who do all the work.

Often you hear people say that it is STUPID to buy a miner, but I wholeheartedly disagree.

I look at the miners as some form of voluntary hardware contribution to this large "mesh network" with the goal to make the central banking system we have obsolete.
Everyone who buys and runs a miner helps to facilitate and strengthen the system. SOMEONE HAS TO DO THIS. Should only big banks do this? Is this what this all will lead to?

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

FIRST COINCRAFT UNITS LEAVING OUR WAREHOUSE THIS WEEK
http://bitmine.ch/?p=5174

Video of working CoinCraft Desk 1TH/s unit now online:
http://bitmine.ch/?p=5176

Proof of the demo unit mining at Eligius:
http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/1BA1Y3xvLbSYU9TqcxUspXzEn1roSStCVr

I would have been happier with "HAVE left our warehouse" rather than "leaving this week", but beggers can't be choosers.

Did anyone notice that the link to eligius shows less than 0.2 BTC a day, which is $130 a day, so at a cost of $6000 that is gonna take about 46 days to get our money back. If you throw difficulty increases in there, it basically means we will be lucky to break even.  I think the price of bitcoins will have to rise to around $1000 for anyone to just break even. Unless CPP & Turbo Man come to our rescue.

Have you seen the news about boxes leaving ... No ... Neither have I. I guess they are all round the back of the factory and loading Vans right now, that's why they can't tell us that the boxes are on the way.

Has anyone even been given a shipping number yet?

Looks to me like another failure, I wonder what the problem is this time? It'll be the packing boxes weren't big enough, or we forgot to book the shipper. More likely they saw the price of bitcoins going up, so they thought they'd just 'test' them for another week Smiley

Gotta say though Bitmine are no worse than Cointerra or ... BFL, possibly worse than KNC though.  Grin

Still the night is young you never know ...

I must say a few of you guys are completely retarded in my opinion.
U get pissed, decide to sue them, then they throw a bone to you about bla bla we will ship it this week and then everyone forgets everything.

That's the most retarded thing ever. They will continue to dance on your nose for another two to three weeks. I mean wtf???

It's pissing me off how they just keep their customers misinformed intentionally, lying.

The first miners should be on their way back in December... Don't you know that you are missing out on big mining? For those people it would have been over 30 BTC for that timeframe until now...

I'ts obvious what's going on here.
These Profits go to their pockets since I believe the miners production started way earlier and, they are mining with customer hardware.

Even if this is not the case they just stated a false Delivery Date they knew they couldn't handle anyways. In both ways it's fraud against the customer since all of us, if we had known that they wouldn't deliver until now, never would have made that investment.

It's written in the stars if we barely get even with these miners now.

And don't come to me saying that I should know the risks and everything.

We are in Europe, not in Russia or somewhere else, which is why I chose this company. And I don't care if a dump like BFL messes arround with their customers. Just that it still turned out profitable in the end because of BTC rising doesn't mean it's ok. I live near to Switzerland and that's not how businiess is done in this corner.

This is a firm in Switzerland, they promised delivery Dates which was the single and only thing that gave their product the value.

They are not giving us something for free, they get 4200€ for a fucking piece of hardware. They are earning their asses of alone due to the fact of that,
not taking BTC Mining with our hardware even in consideration.

So get your Ass up and stop acting like a beggar waiting for someone to throw some bread in your cup.

I understand that you're pissed, I am too. But why do you blame it on the community. You behave exactly the same way as everyone does, so you consider yourself being retarded as well. Hope is the last thing to die.

If that's the case and somehow provable, bitmine.ch has a big problem because they'll be liable for the loss of profit of their customers.

Since they updated some more indistinct information on February 12th, I give them another week to proof whether they're serious or just messing with us. After that I'll take action!

What are your plans except acting like a beggar? Didn't read anything about that in your post...

I totally agree with pzd3mir.  Their delivery date promise was the only valuable thing they have compare to other vendors. If they can't deliver on time, they are no different than BFL.

What actions can we take to get our money back? What is procedure based on Swiss law?

I am avalon clon miner batch 2 customer and neither my order was changed to punish nor I got an e-mail with a schedule for pick up
I'm waiting in the device row below 80 so I would have long since have received modest or?

Aldwych always been stated and promised, the very first units will go to our loyal customers did purchased old Avalon-based products and did the opt for a free upgrade coupon to our own developed, next-gen product based on CoinCraft A1 ASICs. We will strictly respect the delivery queues order, please do not contact us to ask to speedup your position as we will not accept any kind of search requests, Because of its Obvious unfairness in respect to the other customers.

Dear Loyal Customers of Bitmine,

We have had another tremendous week here in Switzerland, we have been able to increase the capacity of mining board production to over 600 a day. We have had a slight setback though with our shipping partner. Due to an unknown export regulation, shipping has been delayed by just over a week.  However, I am confident that machines will be being shipped in around two weeks time. I do have some good news for you though, the additional testing time has meant that we have been able to squeeze some additional performance out of the miners, our world class engineers have managed to squeeze out another 27MH/s, bringing the guaranteed hashing power up to 1000.027GH/s, which I am sure will be warmly received by you.  I would like to add that this extra 27MH/s will not cost you anything, and as a world class company we will undertake additional testing to ensure the stability of the products at this increased hashing rate.

May I once again thank you for your interest in Bitmine.

 Using Google Bullshit Translation ...

Morons,
I  needed a few more bitcoins to purchase the Yacht of my dreams, so I'm gonna keep hold of your miners for another couple of weeks and mine the hell out of em.  We've managed to increase the production rate of miners using your pre-order money, so even more bitcoins for me.  Providing I feel I've screwed you all enough, I may decide to send out a few machines over the next few weeks, but be aware as I am overclocking your chips as much as I can, your likely to find when you eventually receive yours they are of poor quality and mine at much lower rates than advertised, but hey what the hell are you gonna do about it.

If there are any ultra morons out there, then we do still have product for sale, with a delivery date of yesterday.

I am very disappointed in this company. Switzerland was for me a kind of example for many countries!

I bought through official partners 50BTC(SUPER SCAM) - they assume wrote on December 16!

Sorry for my english!
