Me and my brother bought from 50BTC....

We ordered and payed, way back (14/10-2013), it clearly said "delivery first week of December" (Not shipping)  back then... (In 50btc shop)

(Something about thoughs, ho ordered and payed, before some date....

(Think it was the 15th or 26 or something like that, but when it was announced, (On 50btc shop... ) we lookt it up, back then, and we payed before that date )

.... Still had that delivery date, if you cleared payment before this date (As we did on 14/10-2013) but all orders after that would be delayed.... Now every thing is delayed.... and i don't get the dates your talking about her....)

In any case....

How you got that to be shipping date 16th of December is going over my head...

Just cant prove it, as i only have screen shot of BTC transfer, confirmation of BTC on 50BTC home page, confirmation email (From bitmine.ch, not 50btc, by request), and sorry we are late email...
(Witch say we are shipping: 2 weeks ago.... lol  )

Last and ONLY mail from 50btc:

Dear Client!

We are writing to you in order to inform about the status of your ASIC Miners order.

Bitmine.CH announced 3 weeks delay for CoinCraft Miners shipping (http://bitmine.ch/?p=4192)
They've started production from 15th of January 2014 and begin shipping on 20th of January 2014.
We'll inform you about exact delivery date of your order very soon.
We truly appreciate your patience and thank you for choosing our service. In case of any questions do not hesitate to contact us.

Best regards, 50btc.com team.

...............

Like, they all ready are in production.... and the 3 week stated in the mail, where all ready way off when we got the mail.... but 50BTC dont respond to mails at all... we have send them many ? but only got this one mail from them, at all, and it was kinda out of the blue...

(We got confirmation mail from bitmine.ch pr. request when 50btc whent out becurse of DDOS attack .... but also no word from them after that.... )

But what ever.... gues it was money out the window any way, at this point, unless they really through in some major hashing power upgrade, at no cost (Not only the cpp) ---------> But---- > lol keep dreaming ;S

Dreaming is nice... until you wake up... or as most times... it turns in to a nightmare... (AKA.. getting in to bitcoin mining equipment... lol )

@giorgiomassa

It´s about time that you prepare an official statement for your customers, detailing the delays and the exact reason for delays.

A simple statement that your chip producer is the one to be blamed is not satisfactory anymore. I need you to issue written statements of your sub-contractor as well as a schedule of what went wrong in your project execution; agreements between you and the chip manufacturer, contracts, etc. I am of course willing to sign an NDA.

You are not talking openly about what is really happening.
If I see a single miner hashing from 6th of december on with >500TH/s  hashrate I am getting very suspicious!

I am preparing legal action against you - because this is in-transparent as in-transparent can be.

@lossminer
Please contact me regarding the Swiss business attorney you mentioned if you don´t mind - tia; else I will contact my attorney.

I post what they have answered me when I asked if they have started sending miners and more or less when my unit would be sent, and I've had that response which has started production but not fresh.

The update last week was quite nice but a thing I cannot understand, the chips had arrived at Bitmine HQ Jan 29th, according to Giorgio
and production capability is increased 200% to 6 workers, and now it is claimed the first units will start heading out the door by beginning of next week  Huh
where is the delay coming from? I run small business repair electronics, also some low level stuff BGA rework, only 3 full time workers on workshop side but, every day they disassemble, assemble units- order parts and out the door - 20, 30 packets. like clockwork, and this is just 'amateur' level.

so with Bitmine pro operation, 6 workers, who presumably contracted for part time basis on a multi-million dollar project why it would take 7 days to build 1 unit and start to ship?

I'm too curious about this, doesn't seem to add up.. there needs to be sufficient info & supporting evidence forthcoming here

Because they aren't giving them to techs to hand assemble. Sure, if they did that they could pump out several units a day. That's all they'd ever do though. The setup time for doing large production is larger, but once it's going the speed is way higher.

And this setup could not have done in the last 2 months while they were waiting for parts?

I understand there is lead time for getting PCBs run through a pick and place machine but this is getting ridiculous ... Swiss efficiency my ass...

In Italia non potresti sopravvivere neanche un giorno con una mentalità del genere, e comunque generalizzare è da ignoranti!

Exactly that.

The whole project handling feels so amateurish and ragged that I personally am not believing it anymore. I much rather think that we are being taken for fools.
I assume the first batch of chips was very well delivered in December - as scheduled - and they (or their investors) are mining (since 6th of dec) like other corrupt manufacturers e.g. Avalon did before.

The following is no proof but could be evidence (reported by S4VV4S):

http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/1Nbq2XZaRsKknf5fcT2wTXvBS31PaUWSeX

https://blockchain.info/address/1Nbq2XZaRsKknf5fcT2wTXvBS31PaUWSeX?offset=0&filter=0

As far as there is no exact clarification from bitmine I vote for a joint lawsuit to figure out what happened.

"Dolce far niente" is definitely not sufficient as an explanation in this case.

Look at the pictures - just desk units around there with built-in PSU, plus a stack of cartons  in the back. So Bitmine can ship if they want.
If they really run out of PSU they are just stupid as everybody know nowaday that big PSU & GPUs are rare. Bitmine had 3-5 month time to buy these parts.

Just a few posts above you can read we all got another info for shipping the first rigs - next week friday...

I vote for a joint lawsuit to figure out what happened.

Let's see the lawsuit options:

  • You can try a civil lawsuit against them for breach of contract. The problem is, as long as they eventually ship your product and offer the customer protection plan that both parties have agreed with, there is no breach of contract. You lose.
  • They could, *technically speaking*, try a criminal lawsuit against you for defamation (or a civil law suit for damages, that can generally be debt-collected internationally, as long as you aren't insolvent and your country has common law), and use this forum as evidence. A judge would then want to hear you so that you show him or her the proof of your statement (i.e. their are self-mining with the chips since December 6). If you can't show that evidence, they would win. You lose, again

Of course, Bitmine is not stupid and won't sue their own customers (not mentioning that suing you for this would be very difficult in practice, especially internationally). Their PR could be better to calm down the impatient miners, but they are still much better at this than, say, BFL_Josh (i.e. their not calling you names in return, they aren't doing forced refunds on unhappy pre-order customers, etc.).

My advice: they have given a news update a few days ago, and they said they would catch up with production soon enough. Mark their words, and come back in a few weeks to check for the result.
