so, georgem, they have completely changed their mind since your message here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=291141.msg4389355#msg4389355

They said then that the week x shipping was from the MONDAY. Not the Friday.

Come on BitMine - stop changing the rules.

I am awaiting a reply to an email as well, for my "January Week 5" order.

Exactly. The wishy washy language they apply is now used against us.

Come on people, if we thought that we will get free presents from bitmine.ch we were completely fooled.

The unclear language means that you will always have to assume the worst case for yourself, NOT the best.

 Grin

PS, Don't forget I am just repeating what this poor support guy tells me. He is under a lot of stress, and gets all the flak, and it's him who has to force his boss to finally come clean and tell it like it is. So I hope that everything is clearer now.
But still, guys, the written language at bitmine.ch is STILL deliberately in an unclear form.

 Grin

Here I am, in my shipment week (1 week february) thinking that I might get 10% bonus if they ship two weeks later in the third week of february.

But now that I know that I will only get 10% bonus (on one device) if we reach first week of March (!!!) well, atleast I can sleep better now, because I don't have any dreams or false hope anymore.

So I think CPP is now crystal clear. It's like the worst case you can assume if you take the words they have written and apply them like a lawyer would.

Yes, there CPP sucks. It's to save THEM, not you.

Now the only hope I have left is that their manufacturing skills are good, so I get a device that can run in turbomode, has a long running life, and that I will recieve hopefully not later than a month from now.

And then, the Court decide, that you've purchased a miner for the "profit motive".
And now you turn quick to a commercial customer  (B2B).
2 weeks later you receive a letter from the FINMA "Financial Supervisory Authority) like we have received it, and you put all your financial data on the table! And when they find something that identifie you as financial Services. (buy/sell BTC from private people, Solo-mining) Have fun!
Swiss law working not so easy.  Wink

Since when is profit a "motive"...

Makes it sound like to have a profit is something criminal?

In a free market every trade is based on both parties making a profit.

If this wasn't the case it would mean that one was forced or coerced to do the trade to one's own damage.

Thank you sir.

This is the free market. It is important that the truth is made visible, it's the only way we can force good behaviour.

So cool down, keep the feet still, learn from it and let the fingers away of pre-orders if you can not live with the consequences.

Interesting point you mentioned. If I don't get the miner, i just want my money back. Right now there is no reason why I should think, Bitmine won't refund my money (But we've all heard about similar cases..BFL). If I don't get the miner, I won't be mining. It's also clear that if I trade BTC (without mining) that I have to declare any profits. Therefore I dont's see any problems with putting my finiancial data on the table.

Grin Yep, false hope is like a virus that sticks on you, and that is very difficult to get rid of.
I might just as well still be contaminated, if that is what you apply.  Smiley

same would apply for bitmine as well and if they put all data on the table i guess finma will find more interesting things, compared to a solo miner or someone who "planned" to do profit by mining. If the clients are in trouble, then I would argue bitmine is actually selling investments; best proof: why would people pay upfront if it isnt an investment for profit?

I called them today. They told me my Desk will maybe ready for pick-up the 14th Feb. And at least 1 Week later for my Rig.

My orders are #3x in the shipping list (ex Avalon-clone batch 3). In my opinion they have posted the news about start of production when they have started mass production of final PCB revision, and not when they started to assembly complete units.

Hey be patient friends Smiley i am in the same boat. just endure another 2 weeks or so. At least not in another 2 month waiting like BFL.

Apparently we´re not in the same boat; I have ordered the very first Avalon Clones - then upgraded to Coincraft Rigs - at a time where BTC traded below 100$.

I can´t accept the in-transparent way of communication from bitmine anymore - we are nearing a 3 months delay due to a official 3 week shipping delay of a sub-contractor?!? Yeah right - that´s so credible. I am going to be patient and put my rose-tinted glasses on and see what happens. NOT

It´s not that hard to (officially) prove where the time during production was lost - and I will not hesitate to initiate a lawsuit to find that out.

Where does the 3 months delay come from? It has always been clearly stated on the product page that shipping would start from the 16th of December, as such as of today we are just 7 weeks late, a little bit less than 2 months and, again, we are going to pay that delay to our customers with our customer protection plan by adding free hashing power. It is not our nor your fault if you had such a bad luck that you've paid for the unit when BTC exchange rate was $100 while now it is 8 times higher, this is a risk that you should have taken into account before placing your purchase.
So if we are just 7 weeks late, probably that becomes 8, or 9, or 10, or... weeks, thats a second board on top of my 400Ghash order, so that would make 800Ghas/s if i can count right.
I'm getting tired  to see "Order #1829 made on September 20, 2013. Order status: processing."
I want my "payed order now!

Why dont we all start an investigation on the rising hashrate, i'm shure we can sue them if we can prove they are just mining with our devices until they are worth nothing?
This smells so much like bfl, every day more and more!

Hmm, so Bitmine can design a custom ATX sized 3kW ATX PSU just like that while dozens and dozens of power supply companies all around the world can't? Something's fishy about this.

No need to speculate about that. What we use when testing locally in the Bitmine labs is a meanwell 3kW PSU - the wall of PSUs in the picture posted is exactly that.

I have look through the pdf file that Zefir posted and I cannot find which plugs or connectors does this PSU use, do you connect the wire directly into the input of this PSU or I'm missing something

The power supply is mounted in a rackmounted case and in that case there will be a socket mounted that is connected with the power supply.

Here is an extreme example:

In the case of mining equipment, there is no need for a power button though

Hello to everyone!

I choose to pick it up the rig directly at Bitmine, instead to deliver it to my office.
Anyone know how much will the customs charge when you drive thru with the Rig in your car? :-)))

Thank you
it_miner

Buy an empty CPU case and throw it away... but save the receipt... Provide them with that receipt for customs. Tongue They won't know any better. Even better, take one with you, before you go there... Throw it out, and take the miner back. (JK, don't defraud the GOVT's exorbitant taxes.)
