It is very difficult to know if an ICO project is fraudulent. This is the same as determining the potential level of those projects. If the team that develops those projects is to deceive investors, they will do everything to hide that falsehood. I only have a few tips for you. Check the important information of the project, everything should be transparent, clear and public. The information of the team members must be real and not negative. Besides, reference comments and reviews of people is also a good way

It seems very difficult to escape from a scam ico project. all data can be falsified. both from team profiles and advisors to partners of the project.

Now it is very difficult to do. Scammers have learned to make decent websites and smart whitepapers. Considering how much ICO is conducted, it is very difficult to separate the scam from the norm. But no one is guaranteed that if the ICO is not scam the project will be successful

Three repeated points with every scam ICO :
- Good shiny graphic design with hidden info about development team .
- Bitcointalk OP bumped everyday with newbie accounts .
- Too expensive price of coin because team aim to get profit only even from one investor .

Advise to stay away from all icos for time being .

First of all, gather as much information as possible.  Manager, the team of this project.  A very good sign is positive feedback.  Their past merits.

1.   Research about the team behind the ICO properly. You will not find much information about them if they are scammers.
2.   Carefully read the whitepaper. Make sure it gives all the details about the project. If it is a scam there will not be many details.
3.   The idea and goals of the ICO should be realistic. Stay away from project offering goals like doubling your money in 2 days.

it is actually very difficult to find out what ico actually is and what is fake imagine the number of ICOs here in the forum and it is very hard to know. scams are everywhere, so we should be more careful if want to participate in the project, first so that we do not become the next victim, like the back team, be sure to check their profile and who the manager is on the project.

You can easily find out whether the ICO is a Scam as soon as you carefully study its documents, website, partners and team. Public opinion will also help you.

For you to know icos that are scam, you should take a very good time to read the whitepaper, study the website structure/roadmap, check who the developer and management team are and there past history to know if they have good remarks and then the community. If all this are clearly stated and there is no doubt, then you can invest in the project and I think it is good to invest while the ico is still on than buying on exchange.

If I myself see from the website, team, and social media. If I myself prefer to buy coins in the stock compared to ICO coins because the coins on the exchange more clearly.

I advise you to spend more time on sites that analyze ICO, for example https://icoholder.com/ If the rating of the project is low, I do not advise to invest in it.

Look at the team always, it figures and the ICO mirror. If they are good-naturedly in contact with investors and are happy to share their plans, then a good ICO.
The developers are everything, this is why the most attention should be given to them, even if the whitepaper and the idea behind the coin is not the best or the most original if the developers are really good it is entirely possible they will be able to deliver a good product, a product that is way better than anything that is in the market and when that happens the only thing you need to do is to wait for the rest of the community to realize this and wait for your profits.

look painstakingly and examination of what exists in the whitepaper. I feel no more to have the capacity to see if the ICO trick and not. All substance of the ICO will unquestionably be given in whitepaper and if it's not significant and can not enter in the rationale or questionable at that point don't enter in ICO.

The best way for you to know a scam ico is to check the people behind the project, if there are no faces behind a project then you know that the project is shady and the people are just making sure that there is no way to trace back to them when they get out of the project with the money. Also look at the product, if it is not sustainable then it is a dying project.

There are many ways in which you can define scam projects from real ones and besides I would like to note that first of all it is worth paying attention to the team and the product itself.

if I were to know the ICO scam is to see the bounty manager, whether it is bonafit or not, then it can be seen from the social media that is owned and active and the activities are real or only virtual ,,

To find out in detail the ICO scam, I think there is no way. But to prevent you from participating in the ICO, maybe you can do it. By first seeing the vision and mission in the future. And you also have to see the team to find out if the project really does ICO. maybe by looking for it you avoid the ICO scam.

I always start with the WP, you can clearly get an idea about are they trying to achieve something natural or bs.
Also focus on the team and advisors.
