@BA / Blackarrowsoftware (hope this tags you)

Im a bit puzzled..

Fair enough that your a bit behind schedule. You promised compensation so i guess we will be compensated.

But the lack of information is annoying. Why on earth arent you sending out emails to clients? - I mean... I thought that was the idea of putting my email in the contact info.. Come on guys.. you can just do a mass email.

Well I feel completely shafted. I would really like to see some solid proof that this is not just a complete sham tbh.

As someone else in this topic (at the begining) tells "stop the policy of preorder and using customers as bank to have founds", i will tell him "You are wise" i will follow tto, this line forever no more preorder with no asic manifacturer...

When they will be ready to ship in two days i will see if i will buy...

In this world, where the exact time vs. difficulty is the crucial key to se if an investment will make some profit, is not possible tu use a crowdfounding business model to produce new hardware.

Cheers.

I said almost the same thing over 4 months ago near the start of this thread, it has served me well since....

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=294197.msg3217642#msg3217642

Pre-ordering any hardware has historically been a very bad decision, avalon batch #1 is the obvious exception, but that sort of return is never going to happen again.

I wonder what are those months of delay ppl keep talking about? For all my life I thought that between end of February and start of May is just one month, and it is April. Please educate me, where are those 2 or 3 monthes of delay?

And yes, I am very disappointed by delay of my order.

If February 24th was the target, then at least 65 days before shipment of first batch users if May 1st is the new shipping date.

Over 2 months delay, with only meager proposed compensation to Black Arrow orders, and no word of offer to Minersource customers.

Hi all!

I have 5 pre-orders from BA (4 pcs - X1 and 1 pcs - X3).

But now:

1. Order X-3 from Dec 2013 - Processed - 25% Extra     Sad
2. Order X-1 from Oct 2013 - Processed - 25% Extra   Sad
3. Order X-1 from Oct 2013 - Processed - 25% Extra   Sad
4. Order X-1 from Sep 2013 - Processed  Grin
5. Order X-1 from Sep 2013 - Processed  Grin

3 orders - status "Processed - 25% Extra" and 2 orders status "Processed" (without changes)

Somebody has such situation?

What I would like to know is, who is the competition ?

I know there is BFL with their "Monarch", and frankly, that is the least of my concerns...

But what other company has next gen ASIC machines and what are their release dates ?

There's a growing number of people desperate to offload their pre-orders on Ebay. Seems confidence in Black Arrow has evaporated.

Hopefully the situation improves and the company can provide some proper guidance and meet delivery deadlines.

No cash and no hash, tough situation  Undecided

If you look at the difference with Cointerra, people are just mad.  They didn't get what they thought.  In this case it's not just that they aren't delivering.  Confidence has evaporated b/c they have been dishonest about it

Matt, you may be forgiven, but the reputation of the Black Arrow just took a HUGE nosedive.

Absolutely. In a  few months we'll be back up where we were. We WILL be successful in this launch.

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to take a second to say I'm sorry about everything.

Matt

Thanks for that at least. Making estimates of how long an engineering project will take and how much it will cost is notoriously difficult, and most of us understand that. However, you guys really need to improve communication with your engineers and transparency on the whole.

Moving on.

Matt, can you read btmtb's open letter (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=294197.msg4837079#msg4837079) and my comments and tell us what you (and your bosses) think about it? I think Black Arrow's faithful early customers deserve a bit more than 25% * 4 months.

Also, if you can facilitate order transfers, I think we can prevent a few refund requests by buying and selling the preorders amongst ourselves. I think this could save you guys a lot of headaches and maybe some lawsuits.

So overall BA most likely KNEW that they can't meet their specified date on 24th of February.
They instead said "we're on time or slightly ahead of schedule" to keep people from asking for refunds and drum up sales for Batch 2.
Now it's Opps...

This is like TerraHash all over again...

40 phs on the horizon, minimum announced hash rate.  Recent events suggest that it will be later than announced.

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to take a second to say I'm sorry about letting everyone down.

That said, I'm confident we're going to pull through.

Matt

Matt im not sure thats going to quite cut it. Everyone was lied to on hear BA lied to everyone
and the 25% is an insult TBH. Matt how about starting with telling everyone what the hell is
really going on they have been asking you now for week's whats happening and were on target/schedule
is what was said and then this.  Every1 who has sent there money has just been punk'ed/Rippedoff.

Another thing is combining Batch 1 and Batch 2 is a ripoff for customer who invested early in Batch 1 .
These batches should be a month in between as it was normally.

I c ur point but i think batch 2 will deff be later there only saying batch 2 hasn't moved to try get the order's in it would actually be hilarious if i wasent paying for it.

How will you be successful? None of your customers will make money

I dodged two bullets here. Sold my pre-order but then changed my mind and was going to buy another guys pre-order for 2x X-3 because I got a good deal. He haven't responded in 4 days though which I am thankful for now..

I really think BA should write down the value for the customs fee's.

Feel sorry for you guys, I was hoping BA would come through in time.
