Why don't you just submit a refund request?

What do you expect to get out of bitching and moaning?

I think he is expecting to get answers.
Just because he is asking questions does not mean he wants a refund, I know personally I want the equipment I paid for. I think most of us want to see this project succeed not die in the water but some people have to take responsibility for these missteps and lack of transparency.

I too wish they could deliver on time but they missed their tapeout by a month and a half. How will transparency/identities allow us to get our hardware any faster?

I just want to know how we will be compensated for the delays and how refunds will be handled. And as matt said he will get back to us with those answers.

Also will batch1 customers be compensated for preordering early

If we can organize a list of questions, I can try getting answers.
I'm personally not interested in the name game, that's just distraction trolling that I'd expect from someone who's been spending too much time on 4chan but lacks their style and panache. If you want to resolve the vapourware concerns you could ask BAS to get Global Foundries to issue a brief press release to confirm the works they're underway with for BAS (I'm assuming GF can't do this without BAS permission, commercial sensitivity etc, but if they come to an agreement I can't see it being a problem).

The second point would be replacing the lost GHS, I'd refer to my earlier post. Something like 100% of the hash rate for the same duration as the delay, or 50% hash rate for 2x the delay.. or so on. This would be my ideal solution.

Please have a think & chat and get back to us. Cheers

(From another Matt!)

This may be the most sensible post on this whole thread. If Global were to issue that statement, I think it would put a lot of rumour and trolling to rest real quick.

Full disclosure, I have no dog in this fight, though I was seriously considering getting a couple of x-1's at tax time. With the above suggestion implemented, I still might. They are a better deal than the Antminer, if they aren't vaporware.

How about it, BA?

Good to see Bobsag3 on ground. Trusted entity.

I would call you a BA shill.

Is it a saturn or a jupiter you own?

Your first post on the forum says you own a saturn, then your second says you own a jupiter. Can't quite remember what you own? within the space of a few hours???

Hi, I am a bitcoin miner who has been through BFL problems, I have a Sautrn, and I am particularly interested in the Black Arrow forums. May I please contribute, thanks.

Put 15k down on 3 Prosperos. Very much on philosophy with KNC Miner, which, I own a Jupiter.

Anyone else read the latest KNC newsletter?  Looks like KNC is either one step ahead in the industry or they have their crosshairs on BA.  I don't think this is a coincidence.  I will point out the letter states nothing about what % of pre-ordered hashrate will be comped, but I would bet it's more than 25% AND it will be available at stated pre-order ship date.  The bad news: KNC will have some portion of their pre-order Neptune hash up and going on schedule.  The good news: This puts direct competitor pressure on BA to deliver the absolute best comp within their means or risk having next to nothing to offer above the competition in the future.

"Plan B

As you are all aware we broke many world records in releasing the 28nm chip in such a short amount of time. We are a very ambitious company but even for us, to go “all in” and not be able to deliver on our performance targets, like our competition, would be completely unacceptable to us as a company and everything we stand for. So today we are introducing, Plan B.

To make sure that everyone who has paid for their Neptune we are building a data centre like no other. It is located in the north of Sweden not far from Facebook and other Mega Data Centres and it’s totally powered by renewable energy.

Over the next few months we are bringing online enough hashing power to make sure that any delay in the Neptune timeline will be compensated with a completely free hosted hashing packages to all fully paid customers.

In the addition to this commitment, as part of Plan B, for all Neptune customers, we will be offering a free conversion to a hosted hashing package where we will simply fill your wallets directly and you won’t have to worry about anything else. All the other costs taken care of by us. We are able to do this by using our 28nm chips which is why all products that we have coming out of our factory in the next few months will go into building and supplying the Plan B facility.

If, during the course of development of Neptune, there is any threat to the timelines for delivery, those delays will not result in the loss of any mining time for our Neptune customers. We will release more details of this as we get closer to the delivery date, but for now we have one of the world’s largest data centres to build.

 Thanks
 KnCMiner Team"

"Elasticband"  To respond to shill... ok.

I had a Saturn which I upgraded to Jupiter in upgrade boards. So I didn't get it right in the posts, who cares.

Either way, whatever you call me, I am happy to see Bobsag3 on the ground talking to BA. Trusted entity doing productive conversation.

Like you posted, I am invested.

Any more names you want to call me, have fun.

I just wanted to say that this all seems like a very sensible solution. There is very little that can make up for the difficulty increase over time, but 100% of the hashrate for the same duration of the delay will show that BAS is willing to suffer with their customers and provides some assurance that BAS will do whatever they can to limit further delays.

100% for the duration of the delay starting when.  Starting at (or close to) the promised delivery date is a good offer. Starting "whenever" is a worthless offer.

here's the other part of that KNC plan B that was left out, it's just an idea, nothing real at this point.

They are clarifying stuff over on the forum now.

http://forum.kncminer.com/forum/resellers-affilicates/general-questions/29377-plan-b

"Hi guys,

Plan B is literally just the back-up plan to plan A, so right now we are on track with the current plans. We will have some more information regarding plan B if/when this pathway is due to be executed.

If plan B does occur, you will be able to convert over to a hosted hashing package, but again, the fine details of this have not yet been determined at this early stage.

We will have some further updates for you soon."

I won't hold your breath looking for any kind of similar comp from BA,they have already said the amount of BitFurys the have on hand would amount to 1 Gh each, pointless.

Maybe Black Arrow needs to do what Cointerra is doing and give everyone a extra machine. So if you ordered one x-3 then they give you two x-3's.

I think you have a great idea, others have suggested the 100% compensation. I think that they should give us the batch 2 machines and push that batch back. It sucks for batch 2 but without batch 1 customers putting up the risk the 2nd batch would not have even happen. After they have production rolling Im sure that batch 2 will be out very fast.

To stay in the market, Black Arrow would have to match what Cointerra and KNC are offering.

Free rigs and free hosting vs. 25% more hashing power just seems paltry by comparison.

The X-3 comes in two separate units.  I would even settle for just an extra unit per X-3 ordered.  If nothing else, you could probably hock that 1TH on ebay and make up some of your lost profit.

Tell us who is running BA? Is it one person? Multiple people? Who pays your wages? And what is the address of the factory in Shenzhen?
Multiple people run the company. I don't know the address of the factory. That's a better question for Bobsag. I've never been to the factory.
Who pays you?
Since you're so insistent on this, I'll level with you. I won't get paid till after the release of the minion. I have a different full time job and I do this because I want to help Black Arrow. I don't want to get paid till the release of the minion so all funds could be used for development. So it's not just customers who are affected by this delay. I hope that answers your question.

The long term employees you hired (assumed, given the below's date), did they, too, opted to not get paid until the minion is produced along with having different full time jobs? Surely, you would have hired like-minded individuals like yourself, those that can juggle two full time jobs, thus having no issues with seeing a payday from the second one until a certain milestone is reached, otherwise having subordinates onboard possessing anything less would disrupt Black Arrow's entire operation, leaving myself, among others, outta of our second, third, fourth... job. And we're family.

Yea blackarrow has been really bad letting people know were batches were.  First they said batch 1 was closed, and were going into batch 2.  Now there saying that batch 1 is open, but hey were shipping your units march 10, instead of February 24.  It's pretty pathetic actually, to see this company with a good product, to have such terrible customer service.  Instead of just hiring people for 2 dollars an hour, they would rather try and do it themselves, and at the end of the day it's just costing them some serious $ signs

Yeah, maybe we could hire children too!

Sarcasm aside, we're doing the best we can. As I explained before, we want to hire long term employees rather than hiring a few people, training them, then firing them when the rush is over. We're working on implementing automation that will allow for a much easier transaction via BTC. We're working on adding resellers. As time progresses, things will get better. I'm sorry that there is such a delay.

If you're still waiting for a reply to your ticket, please post it or PM it to me. I'll make a list and work on those first.
Just looked in on this thread again.  At least they aren't erasing posts like before.  All my posts warning people when this just started were erased so this turn of events unfortunately isn't surprising.
