Unfortunate BA's decision to continue on with Rent-a-minion. Another decision not in the best interest of its customers or its reputation going forward.

I'm guessing they have a really good fire suppression system and are not worried about a few flaming miners.

Small update about my 20 1Ths units, which we received in the end of August.
They are running in our data center, two of them are already dead but we are lucky because no fire started yet.

We were supposed to receive 10 more units as compensation package, but no news about that.
I got the 10 extra PSU (which I paid for extra of course). They are sitting in our stocking area.
I guess they'll just explode and torch our place to ice the cake.

In total we paid around $70K including taxes, and we are so far the happy owners of 6 freshly mined bitcoins.

Yeah. Nice.

Yeah I know I'm more lucky than the others. We received something.
We are a Bitcoin center (in Paris), so at least we'll be able to use them after for showcasing in our demo mining room.

Is it possible to visit?

Yes of course. We are located 35 rue du Caire (Paris 2).
Here is a gallery of the premises as published on Coindesk :
http://www.coindesk.com/inside-paris-bitcoin-centre-gallery/

But if you plan to come mainly to see the X3, they are not here yet. They are in a real data center 200km away (you'll understand on the gallery why we wouldn't operate the miner in our mining gear demo room)

Awesome stuff, thanks Smiley

Yes I understand. I would not like to come anywhere near a X3 without wearing safety goggles and having a fire extinguisher in the hand.

Good luck with you business, I am deeply sorry on to hear about you big loss with the X3 situation.

@OP

Seriously, I have a suggestion.

Would it not be better to stop production on X3 and just refund people a fraction of their payment, instead of wasting the money on building useless machines, all these X3 will end up in the junkyard before the year is over. Save some of the buyers money and safe the environment.

what they do for safety of miners?  I see on forum miners are burning.

I see on forum people ask question for safety but no answer for safety.

Best advice is to simply unplug the power cable, in that way is the fire hazard greatly reduced.

So anyway if anyone has a X3 that blew up and wants me to look at it, I would be willing to give it a go. I am currently dissecting the BFL Monarch, fun but they don't seem to catch fire.
