I got my X1 miner today. Can anyone point me in the right direction of a setup guide with linking it to a pool etc?

I have managed to access the miner by finding the IP address from my routers attached devices but thats as far as I have got.

I have found the guide on Minersource not very helpful as the IP address on there didnt work and it doesnt say anything about adding pool details as the images on their guide are different to what I am seeing on the webpage.

Thanks

Open a web browser, and go to prospero.blackarrowsoftware.com and see if your X1 comes up. Also by default the IP of the miner takes you to the Control Panel software, to change pool etc you need to go to "MINERS_IP/lcd/" for the LCD interface.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Thanks bobsag. I have sent your support team an email regarding some other issues unrelated to miner setup, if you are able to take a look, I would appreciate that.

Have run into a little problem with the X1 miner now. It doesnt want to hash any faster than 7-14GH. Any advice? Added pool details, updated software. Rebooted. No changed.

Are you running it at 1200Hz? Try switching to 1000Hz or 1100Hz as a test.

Wasn't at 1200. Was running at 800hz. Just switched it to 1000hz and nothing happened. Put back to 800hz and rebooted and voila, 80GH. Now seems to be fine at 1100hz too. Will leave it running for 24 hours before touching it.

Thanks for the help.

Wow this tangled web keeps getting more twisted by the day!   Shocked

Catch up on the latest from a few days, and I read that XBtec(self proclaimed former Russian BA reseller) either bought an email database from BA(clear breach of ToS/ToC), or in a not so far fetched revelation, maybe BA themselves reincarnated as another shitty company.   Shocked

How far does the rabbit hole go for this story...

I have been at the factories and at the BA offices since I got here. I have 2 X3s coming back with my in my suitcase (as many as I can fill) and are finishing up having a pallet of X1s and a pallet of X3s shipped back to me tonight since I leave tomorrow.

When are the X3s due to arrive?

Funny that BAS has now left me negative trust feedback. Seems they have time to do that but not answer a single question asked here.

DHL delivered a big heavy box from BA today, with "0.5kg" printed as the weight on the shipping label.

Pics here: http://imgur.com/a/xGtWI

Some observations:

It seems that one X3 is actually two 3U rack devices that make ~1TH/s each.  I had hoped for 3TH/s total as was alluded to earlier in the thread regarding "compensation", but I only received the two units.

They have six buttons on the front and a blank area that I guess was meant to be occupied by a large LCD.

When I plugged them in and checked the DHCP server on my router, they registered themselves as "android-a_16_digit_hex_number".

The units came with software version 1.0 installed, and when I did "check for updates", they updated themselves to 1.4, then 1.5, and finally 1.7.

The units detect each other on the LAN, and allow me to manage both units from a single web UI instance, which is convenient.

One of my units came clocked at 1100MHz, and the other at 1000MHz, which I can't seem to change.  I discovered a small "Hz" icon in the sidebar on the left of the web UI, which offers me the choice of 800, 1000, 1100, or 1200, but the buttons seem to have no effect.

They appear to be running OpenSSH server, but I'm not able to login via SSH.  The user:blackarrow login that works for the web UI does not work for ssh, nor does root:blackarrow.

To change the clock, you need to do it from the /lcd/ interface, MY_MINERS_IP/LCD/ then under "cgminer" in the upper right hand corner.

Thanks.  I tried that, but navigating /LCD/ just gives a 404 error, and /lcd/ gives 403 Forbidden.  (Yes, I tried logging in to the regular web UI first.)

I'm running software version 1.7.

There cant be any http:// or https:// before the ip, just need to be the bare ip + /lcd/ your it auto 404s

That worked.  I guess I'd still had the https:// prefix in there.  Thanks.  :tips hat:

Try minersource thread

You want to google slushpool and create an account with them.

You create a miner for example

x1.accountname

You go to your miner's web login

you go to pools

url: stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333
user: x1.accountname
pass: password

it will start mining right away

In slush pool, point your payments to your bitcoin wallet.

It's pretty easy.

Today I received a call from a lawyer for MS about my complaints and the refusal of the order. He said he's calling everyone that refused their order from MS. If you already have a lawyer, just give him their info.

is it too late to request a refund or switch to another product from minersource? The GH/$ difference seems is rather significant now with for prosperos x1 vs other manufacturers.  I bought an extra psu that was offered as part of the compensation and had the impression at the time it would be in my hands by now, but still waiting.  every week makes my order seem more and more worthless compared to other offerings.  :\
