ETH is the next generation of BTC?

Right now, price of ETH is low, is there again rise in the ETH ?  I can see eth going above bitcoin because of combination between drop in the price of bitcoin and increase in the price of eth.

there are too many predictions and sign in ethereum to be rise. by mid year it is possible to reach 4-5k usd and by the end of the year 7-9k usd. thats my predictions in ethereum according to my research.

I think the whole altcoin can have a chance to beat and replace bitcoin, one of them is Ethereum (ETH), so I believe that Ethereum (ETH) will beat and replace the bitcoin in the future.

I believe bitcoin is still leading as cryptocurrencies and eth cannot replace bitcoin. This is my observation about bitcoin that in the future it will very high its demand. Although ethereum has many supports yet users are always into bitcoin. Ethereum and bitcoin has it's difference usage and functionality are very important.

I believe it will increase up to $5,000 the price of ethereum this year, if you look back in last year the price of ethereum was $10 and the highest price reach $1,400 was last month so I'm sure it will increase $5,000.

I do not think it's possible. Eth is a platform used for business purposes, projects, etc. Bitcoin is rather an investment. Besides, I hope that eth will come out of the shadow of bitcoin.

I totally disagree with you. No altcoin can ever have the momentum of Bitcoin. Ethereum is very popular and widely used, but Ethereum has serious competition as well - NEO. NEO is going to hurt Ethereum and Bitcoin will be always far ahead.

The possibility to increase the value if ether is have a big chance in the market cap through the combination of drop coin and blockchain. Plus the implementation of ICO using ethereum blockchain and most of token of ICO is ether based now. Before the value of ether in late 2017 is 10 USD than early of 2018 the value of ether hits to 1,000 +++ USD. But in the early of February 2018 the value of ether dumped to almost 700 USD but today ether is starting to recover it value and constantly recover. This year many prediction that ether will rise and bubble it value like bitcoin last year.

It's gonna be very difficult to surpass BTC i think. And Eth networks are becoming slower day by day & also expensive. If you see recent ICO gas war's. You can see that people are spending 200-300$ just for Gas.

I also think that it is ETHEREUM that is a project that is one of the heirs of the throne. I think that still ETH will be able to take the throne after BTC retires. But I hope that this does not happen in the near future.

it's correct. This was said and sure by 2017. ETH is 2.0 and BTC is 1.0 so in the future. ETH will occupy the 1st position but very long to ETH can reach the price as BTC. About 3-4 years

I do not think that. For me both coins are good and should not over take each other. Ethereum is good for payment system we can handle single transactions and make our own ledger to check and maintain, on other hand bitcoin is good for bulk distribution.

bitcoin is only a cryptocurrency on classical blockchain. ethereum has a better blockchain with faster transactions and larger network size. In addition ethereum let other project create tokens using ethereum blockchain. that is a very innovative solution.

You are way too optimistic in my opinion. I am a big fan of Ethereum myself, but I don't see it touching $5000 anytime soon. I feel that Ethereum will touch $2500 mark by the end of this year and will continue to surge in the long term and it might touch $5000 after a couple of years. One of the biggest reasons why I feel it will touch these values is because I am expecting a big rally by bitcoin in the near future which will help many popular altcoins like Ethereum spike in value. The lightning network integration will also help Ethereum surge by attracting more investors.

Also, BTC has a maximum cap in coin supply, while Ether has a potential infinite of ETH supply inflating its price.

However, BTC can be forked, which is effectively inflating its price gradually.

This is why I like the design of NEO, which is cannot be FORKED with.

To talk about ETH as about next generation of BTC is unwisely. This is different technology and a lot of different nuances consisted there. I think we must to pay more attention to Ethereum. It will be the leader with the time I think.
