Here is a picture of the new Anker 9+1 port hub compared to the older Anker 10 port black/silver hubs. Also shown is a re-branded black Anker 10 port hub, the TeckNet 10 port

You can see the massive size difference.

Do you think this one is big enough for the Blue Fury?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/DIGIFLEX-Ports-High-Speed-Laptop/dp/B0045IU152/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=AG6SV6QT32O6&coliid=I3AYOF0ZTP90HZ
Port gap wise possibly not. The hub itself only has a 2A psu so you would only be able to run 4 max. Although if you only have 4 or less then it should be fine.

That hub only has a 2A rated power supply. 2A is only enough to power a couple units.

There are pictures on this forum of those hubs after people have tried to use an uprated power supply with them....the hubs melt, literally.

Thanks for the photo's!

I think I will go for the Technet hub which includes a 4A PSU, this should be enough for the 6 units I ordered.

I've had no probs with the TeckNet - I'm just amazed they have increased in price by £12 each  Angry

What about the port spacings - Blue Fury's are thicker (fatter lol) than BES's, so don't really want to waste a port by alternating them
or maybe alternate them with BES's?

So out of these, which hub should I get which can hold a lot of Blue Fury? How many can I hold? Thanks

For me it looks like the Tecknet is the best option. Size is one of the biggest and it's cheaper than the ORICO. The power supply is 4A which should take up to 8 Fury's

As you can see in my picture, the TeckNet hub will power 10 Erupters. BlueFury miners use the same power as an Erupter. If the gap between ports is wide enough, the TeckNet hub should be able to power up to 10 Fury's

I'm using this (labeled as "Logilink") with 5 BEs. Mine has a 3,5A PSU and was only 10,30 € (with PSU). So it should be good for 7 Units.

I had ordered 3 of these, and sent them back. they only managed to power 4 erupters. and then a minute later bang. so I returned these. I would not recommend a cheap looking hub

The description on amazon says 2Amp so its out of limits with 4 devices

edit:- Don't forget your basic DC calculation          Amps*Volts=Watts    2A*5V=10W
If the psu indicates output at 5V 2A  DC      USB sockets supply 5V    then the sockets have less than 10Watts total power available due to internal use, heating etc. Each device needs 2.5W minimum.

So at  12V 4A DC      then the sockets have available  4A*12V=48W (less losses)  USB still supplies 5V    so 48W/5V=9.6A (less even more losses)

Spacing between the ports are right and so is the power requirement

I run my hubs off the ATX PSU I run the Blades off.  I'm the sort that doesn't throw stuff away, so I have a heap of various cables with power jacks on them from dead PSUs.  Just hacked them on to a Molex and job's jobbed.

2x Blades, 11 BEs, 2 hubs, soon to be 2xBlueFurys all running off a Corsair CX750.  It'll probably run my Jalapeno if and when it ever arrives, too.
