I'm thinking refunds will be due if new miners don't appear soon.  I could use those BTC to buy a 20GH unit...

I'd be happy with a refund.

A refund is fair. The company has been unable to deliver the product we paid for.

First of all, these were sold for 2.2 - 2.7 GH/s. As far as I can see, most people average out on 2.0 - 2.1 GH/s (without doing any mods)
That's already a loss in speed.
Then we have people with faulty devices, not working at all or making low speed. More time lost; more money lost!

So in the end, the lack of speed, replacement units and just simple COMMUNICATION is costing us a lot of money.

In my case I'm waiting for a replacement Bluefury because one of the ones I ordered only made 1.0 GH/s. However, if I knew this would take forever I would've let it hash until the replacements were actually taking place.

So really... update us please, even if you can't state a new delivery date for replacement units, it's better to hear bad news than to hear nothing at all!

I fear even 'good' news is going to be far from good or acceptable.

Hi there

I sent back the unit 18.11. an still have nothing back.
I even don't know if I ever get back anything (as I see there are non left).
And if we got them back, they can be almost useless due to the increase diff.

 OC3
I thought, you have same for exchange, but it  seems there are non.

OC3 or Bestly, can you please refund us?

Hey Slesh,

I've told you via PM that I've received it.

I've said that they insist that everything gets returned together before issuing replacements, so I've had to wait for everyone across Europe to test their units before returning them, and unfortunetly I didn't receive the last few until this previous Thursday.

I know as much as you do, I'm the group buy leader, not the manufacture nor do I control the ability to refund you, fix faulty units or manufacture new units.

Can I suggest instead of complaining on my thread to me directly, because no one from the blue fury team (of which I am not part of) will read it right now (beastlymac is on holiday and I don't believe his partners visit this forum) that you try contacting them directly and explain how you're not pleased with their process and delays.

Please remember I was asked by the community to run a group buy, and that I also purchased units for myself, aside from shipping them when they arrive, I have about as much control over the situation as you do.

All the best

Hi
I know, we talked about this. .. but the situation when I don't know if you recieved all not wokring unit back and when we all need to wait for it is not comfortable.
I think that Beastly (as a member of BF team) read this forum sometimes nad see that we would like to solve it somehow. As I see I am not the only one who wants to solve it.
I am pleased with your service (about PM's and shipping..) and all stuff about GP and I also think that you are abble to push them to solve it quickly.

That's all. I need to get used that GP of BTC HW is alwas different from standard buy in other shops Smiley

thanks
Slesh

The replacement units have been sorted out through the resellers and shipped out. you need to get in contact with your reseller.

Nice to see BPM are as useless as ASICMiner in communicating with their resellers.

So OC3k, any sign of these fabled replacement miners?  Or is this news to you?

So, I've spoken to one of beastlymacs partners, and I've basically been told that the choice is either they repair the faulty units, or replace them with another design, I believe its the "nano fury". I've told him to go with what ever is quickest - which is the nano fury.

I've been informed these should be ready to ship within the next couple of days.

Edit to add, no our replacements have not been shipped yet.

That's just SO WEIRD!

He says they have been shipped while you say they haven't shipped anything.

Don't get me wrong please, I believe you over him. Just so odd he claims they're already sent...

Yuk, so much time (=money) lost because of this Sad

Oh well, nanofury is fine, as long as it makes at least 2gh/s

It was my understanding that replacements units had been shipped (i was only back 2 hours from my holiday) Yes we will be sending nanofury usb miners if that is ok with everyone?

Message me if you have any problems

Thanks for replying and clearing that up.

I think I can speak for almost everybody when asking these 2 questions:
1. is this the fastest way for us to get a new miner?
2. are the specs the same or better? (speed, power usage and perhaps dimensions)?

if 2x yes then I'd say yes please

Yes it is the fastest way.
The nano fury from our testing has a similar hash rate. The size of the device is a lot smaller and should be a better fit in hubs etc. Power usage is around the same if not a little better.

Okay thanks.

My personal vote goes to nano's but of course it's up to outcast3k to make the final decision.

Are you considering any form of compensation for the time lost with broken devices and waiting for new devices?

Nanos are good by me. I assume they run the same drivers as far as BFGMiner is concerned?  Or do they need the hidapi rubbish?

Can't believe it, one of my BF has turned up it's toes in the night. I know none of the hassles have been OutCast3k's fault, but this buy has been really disappointing - hardware late, under spec, high % of HW errors, and now one of them has died.

I'm chalking it down to experience, but this will be my first and last purchase of Beastlymac hardware.

Cheers,
