Nothing has changed. At least there's still hope.

thx Ken feel less like i should of set my money on fire, or spent it on hookers on backpage.
Hookers would have at least left you with a "happy ending", even if you did still feel just as dirty afterwards as your dealings with Active Mining, et. al.

Weekly Update 1/15/2013
Here in San Jose working with our partners to move our projects down the line. The RTL problem has been solved and I will be releasing more information about this over the next month. I will also over the next month be releasing the timeline on our chips as the information becomes available to us.
Kenneth E. Slaughter, CEO/CTO Active Mining Corporation Virtual Mining Corporation
This a significant breakthrough and moves us one step closer to our goals. While there is very little can be done about the fact we are way behind our original schedule, one thing we can do is show our support as we start to believe in ActM again, and appreciate this new found transparency and willingness to keep the shareholders informed and brought up to date every seven days. Thanks for the post Ken.

Yep these weekly updates are the best bit of communication we've had post IPO days. And if I'm right they were your idea zum which you put to Ken, so good job.
If we were trading this latest update would have caused a little flurry to say the least. Yes chips are late, yes we will be later to market than expected. Does that mean the shareholders won't make a profit on this venture? No. Being late to market is par for the course in this industry. Will we mature with a solid chip with plenty of life in it? Yes.

Prediction - Ken decided to move from NExtreme to Easiccopy. Why? Chip costs were too high, efficiency was too low, and Ken saw a major fallout as a result and made a hard decision. If this is the case, I will jizz my pants because it's awesome... but pure speculation.

Ken caught me a little off guard with his early update - I've sent him a PM with the consolidated list of questions regardless. That list, and my entire message to ken, for your info, is.... Quite a few this week. Some I'm sure you wont answer (and I wouldn't recommend you do, such as the "who is the engineering firm" question) but I've collected a list for people not tried to filter it too much. Some are also worded a little argumentatively, that isn't my wording. I've removed questions which were more demands than questions. I've put an emoticon next to questions which are more frequent/considered more important. Questions:Have you had any sample chips at any point? If so, did they work? When are sample chips expected? Sample, low volume and normal production estimate dates? How long do you expect board design and production to take? In your progress report of November 30th 2013 you stated "We have this last week shipped our first products to customers." - What product was shipped? What reason caused the change of plans and alteration of schedule? Were your initial timeline commitments too optimistic or was there a catastrophic failure? (if so, what?) If you are still at the design phase now, what have you been doing for the last 6-8 months? Are you in a position to be able to refund your customers every penny or have you spent some of the pre-order money? (Partially answered by Bargraphics trip report) Is preorder money converted to BTC or kept as fiat? Up until a week or so ago, Ken was telling people if they ordered TODAY they would receive a miner in feb/march - Is this still the case? Ken mentioned additional hashrate came online in November, what machines were those? When was the new engineering firm engaged? Can you give us a rough timeline of the full design and creation process, where we were set back, and what part of the process flow we are looping back over now. Is there a problem with eASIC's 28nm process? Did we face delays because Intellihash is being incorporated or is it because the boards weren't designed properly to begin with? Who exactly is the Engineering Firm that was hired, and how long ago did this hiring take place? Ken has asked me to add to the list for next week - if you have any questions not on the list please PM me.

Ken, any chance we can have Crypto Trade enabled soon? Also will it be easy to move our shares off of Crypto Trade once coloured coins are mature?
After I get back to Springfield, enabling the shares on Crypto Trade will be on the top of my list. Everyone will understand this after some future updates. Mostly likely investors will need to make a choice now (Crypto-Trade or Colored Coins). We won't have the man power or time to move the shares later from Crypto-Trade to Colored Coins or the other way around.

I think the only question you really need to ask yourselves is: Where are these $6M worth of pre-order customers? There are more that 1000 of them. Where are they? We know hashfast only has about 500 customers (because they leaked their emails) and look at their forum board. Where? Maybe there is only one set of fish in this investment scheme?

Personally I would rather we not be listed on yet another "centralized" exchange, that is based in HK, that we know nothing about and that has zero history. I don't trust exchange operators and neither should the rest of you.
It will only result in being yet ANOTHER point of failure.
If we only have one chance/choice to get this right… then COLORED COINS OR BUST.

I think he meant a personal decision which one you want. I do think though that I would want to trade on whatever exchange the majority of everyone else is on (not a 'me too' thing, how could I trade with no movement?) I think I'll be in the colored coin boat. Also keep in mind the colored coins group may take a little more time to get trading. (I don't really know. Them helping with tools to assist transition is pretty cool though.)

Exchanges should adapt to the change Colored Coins brings and allow users to deposit their Colored Coins into their exchanges and be able to trade them.

so let me get this straight... (I'm trying to not laugh as I type this)... 1. BG told Ken he would be around on a certain date, 2. Ken agrees to him checking things out, 3. BG shows up, only to see that Ken has conveniently left Springfield. 4. Meanwhile Gerald is there and tells him "Sorry, NDA".
Okay I just burst out laughing so hard I think i just damaged something..

As per usual you couldn't be more incorrect. Ken literally had a last minute flight to San Jose and we are already looking to reschedule the meeting for either Sunday or Monday. Ken told me he wouldn't be here prior to me leaving but I was coming regardless. Gerald never said "NDA", we actually had a constructive conversation but anything in detail would have to be discussed with Ken. You are really off your game VE, time to put in the towel buddy.
