the tape-out of their 55 nm UMC Bitcoin Mining ASIC.
Let's just hope this chip is at least somewhat competitive with the 28nm ASICs and the transfer to the 28nm process goes real fast. If one of those fails, I see no chance of AM ever making a profit. Also: AM acquires the UMC intellectual property - so do we have to pay millions or are those two guys new share holders and will this dilute the existing shares? We can't dilute the shares. There are only 10,000,000 shares outstanding and those only receive dividends.

Yeah exactly, he might have had to pay something (Can't wait to see a Balance sheet, though I expect that to be a ways off). But diluting shares would have broke the contract he made with shareholders, unless he gave them some of his shares out of the 15Mil he has, or his personal shares. Thank you for the update Ken. It's good to hear some news with numbers in it, good or bad. +1

This sounds promising, thanks Ken.
Very interested to see what the out-of-the-gate price of the shares in light of this news.

11mm x 11m package, 1.9 GH/s, 2.5 Watts.
So how are we going to cram 13,000 chips into one enclosure to arrive at 24,576 TH/s?

We do both, we sale hardware and we mine. So the Fast Hash One Platinum board, your best seller, will have 134 chips on it?

Holy S*it Ken you might have just made us all a lot wealthier than we were a couple of hours ago, I thank you for that and all your hard work in face of much heat over the last 9 months. Well played Sir.

so we'll be coming out with 55nm chips at around the same time that KnC delivers their 20nm Neptune's?

Im confused...
So are we using another company to make a 55nm chip while we wait on eASIC's 28nm full custom? or is the 55nm from eASIC?

Yes. The 28nm goes full custom with eASIC so we get a market leading chip when that arrives. While we wait for that (and we were always going to be waiting) Ken has struck up a partnership to mass produce cheap 55nm chips that will provide us with Millions in revenue to throw at our 28nm. This move shows us Ken is working far more than anyone suspected at making us a success. Our chances of knocking out huge numbers of leading performance 28nm ASIC's just went up about 1000%.
