it depend on how long you will take benefit for your investment? if you do patience to hold btc than i will suggest to hold it for long term investment, it will return you more. but if you are short term to middle term investor than attending very good ICO will be the great way to invest. i'm not doing daily trader to take benefit from crypto, i will prefer invest on some good ICO or hold eth or btc for long term investment

i agree, invest in ICO is always dangerous, and so many bad news about cryptocurrencies are from ICOs, most of ICO are scams bringing bad reputations for cryptocurrencies, so i suggest you should stay away from ICO investing but investing BTC instead, BTC is a great investment for both short term and long term in the future.

If you want to make money, ICOs have always left better money. I am saying this for the short term, of course. The ones who identified Bitcoin in 2009 2010 earned a lot more money.

Both is good. They advantage and disadvantage. Disadvantage of investing in bitcoin if the price decrease you lose your capitl while the ICO if the founder run the funds from the participants. The advantage of this two if the price increase you gain more profit. I suggest better to invest to ICO or bitcoin but if you need only 1 choose ICO because the price is very cheap.
Both are very good but are very different, investing in bitcoin is a very safe investment compared to any other investment that you can make in this market, however investing in an ico can give you great profits in a very short amount of time and the profits can be way bigger than anything that bitcoin can give to you but the risk is very high and you could lose all your money.

What ICO are you going to invest in? You have to generally be wealthy to invest in ICO's now, lol. They only accept institutional investors.

ICOs are now deceptive and of very poor quality, so if we choose ICO today we may be very risky, we can not distinguish which projects are potential and which projects are fraudulent. I decided to hold the BTC because they are more stable and they will never collapse like ICO projects.

Yes, finding potential project is always risky but if you invest in the potential project we can easily make more money. Finding good one is always difficult but we have to move according to the community support because it will help us to invest in good potential project. Anyway BTC is very good option for long term investment.

for me it is better to invest to both ICO and Bitcoin, there are still good ICO that are good for investment now, we just need to research well and study their whitepaper and future developments and partners, same as in btc that is good for long term investment.

I am a newcomer to the crypto market.
Should I invest in ICO projects or would I buy bitcoin to hold and wait for the price? Please give me advice.
Sincerely thank you.
I advise you to buy Bitcoin than you should invest in ICO. It is very clear Bitcoin proved promising for both short and long-term investment assets. If investing in ICO is not guaranteed if the ICO has a good prospect and promise.

I do believe both will generate some profits for you. But I would prefer ICOs - chose some popular one based on https://cryptodiffer.com/ and you will make money in short term - not like with BTC!

The decision of either investing in ico or buying bitcoin depends on you but you can do both as they are but good ways to make profit as long as the ico you are investing in is a good one and you have done all necessary research about it before investing in it.

The biggest mistake that newcomers to the crypto market have made is that they invest in any crypto money or ICO without research. In this market, they must learn the experiences of those who have had bad experiences before and act accordingly.

This is an interesting question, and every answer to it is subjective.  It all depends on your expectations and expectations of the deposit.  As for me, you always have to support what you believe.  To find something reliable with qualitative values.  I'm about ICO in particular.  For me, Paytomat is a good option, really fulfilling a mission of my own, but my opinion may remain with me.  Read them on the telegrams of the chat, if suddenly interested

I have never supported ICOs from the very beginning. These are not even a little bit good at producing profits. Even after waiting for a long time, a person can hardly see any progress in his capital. Comparing such lame projects with world's best and most beneficial asset is somehow difficult to digest too. Bitcoin is the currency that does not only gains huge value with time but also help most of the altcoins in doing same.

Investing in ICO and buying Bitcoin are two good ways to increase your wealth. Right now, I am involved in both. And I also suggest that you get involved in both. However, the important thing to consider is that investing in Bitcoin is not that complicated at all while investing in ICO is a bit more complicated and requires you to exert a little effort. For now, focus on Bitcoin investment while studying how to invest in ICO more safely and effectively.

Well it really depends on the project, but lately you are largely right. The time of the really good ICOs like Ethereum, NEM (actually an airdrop) or Komodo seems to be over for now. Most of last year's ICOs are in the red, so it would've been wiser to wait a couple of months and buy the tokens or coins after the ICO. But the time will change on that as well imho if the hype goes down a bit more and more serious projects appear.

As you said that you are a newcomer in the crypo-market then i would suggest you to stay away from ICO's even i dont feel confident enough to invest in ICO's..So starting with bitcoin is the best option then you can go for other altcoins as well and i the mean time learn more.

not all invested in ICO can also feel the benefits, because there are also deceived by the ICO that followed and eventually lose money because the ICO is a scam. if we have a lot of capital then bitcoin is the first choice for investment
