I don't think that ICO investing is good idea.
ICO projects has many problems now. You may invest and freeze your money for 1 year or more. New projects has problems with exchanges. Invest only small part of your capital.

I also think so, however, for other reasons, just now few ICO projects give profit to their investors and this means that it is worth waiting for some time until the situation changes for the better.

See the advantage that btc and eth have is mostly that they came in first. But when you talk about utility, then upcoming projects can outperform these two current giants of crypto.
There are quite a number of upcoming projects, but one that shows great promise is Eterbase. The project is a more legal approach to a cryptocurrency exchange platform with a focus on multi-asset support and regulatory compliance.
I'd rather have a great product that has the potential to sell itself with a more streamlined operations with no funny stuff when it comes to compliance.

Given the current state of market, it is more advisable to invest 50% in ICOs and the remaining in BTC.
BTC's price has not grown a lot in recent times and hence it is a good entry point for it, on the other hand, Alts too have been trading for a low price and investing in them would not hurt.
So I would say do 50-50.

if you are new to trading. I suggest you choose trading on bitcoin. if you really have the right capital, choose an alternative coin like ethereum, many people think that eth is less risky

I agree that ICO investing is more risky than investing in BTC, but I think the gains are not as much in BTC either... Once Menlo One will launch, I will definitely get back to ICO investing.

If you newcomer to the crypto market you should receive more experience before investing in ICOs. A lot of ICOs are a scam and it`s hard to find a good one. I recommend you to buy some Bitcoin or Ethereum, or both and start to make research work on ICO`s and only then invest a few amount of money in.

I am a newcomer to the crypto market.
Should I invest in ICO projects or would I buy bitcoin to hold and wait for the price? Please give me advice.
Sincerely thank you.

Sometimes you can find very good ICO investment opportunities, but you should be very careful about these, because there are many scam ICO projects now. In my way of thinking, it is better to think about the top coins first if you want to make some investments in cryptocurrencies.

If investing in Ico choose the best Ico to invest. Since some Ico are scam you have to be careful in investing in ico. But the better decisions for that invest in Ico and buy btc both are profitable.

i wouldn't invest in ICO's since there are far more risks involved if you aren't well prepared, BTC is a far better choice since it's not too far away from going mainstream since it's the most recognized crypto, and any known issues in BTC will most likely be fixed in the near future, also having a significant history than other cryptos, that makes it a much safer choice.

Investment in ico is very dangerous now, because a lot of coins as they go to the stock exchange immediately leave in a minus from the price of ico, because I do not like this now.

buy btc will make you feel safe because buying btc does not give a big loss, but for investments in ico must be done by professionals and it requires good skills to research to avoid big losses.

If you invest in ico projects, you must have insider information or know the project very well and be sure that it will definitely work. If not, better invest in alcony or bitcoin it's safer.

ICO investment is very profitable if you have the experience of ICO selection. I have a few friends who are ICO specialists, They make a lot of money from investing in ICOs in 2017. But now the market goes down and most ICOs are not as hot as before. Most of the prices fell after being listed at the exchange. This time really should not invest in ICO

Obviously we have to understand about ICO to be able to invest because without it we would certainly experience a loss without doing an ICO review
