NEO is one of the best projects in terms of blockchain and will probably grow a lot still, but I do not see him or anyone else dethroning Bitcoin, this in a period of about 5 years at the very least. Only a project as revolutionary and disruptive as Bitcoin can take its place.

Neo is good, it has an ecosystem (NEP5 tokens), lots of ICOs on it. Gas is a good idea.

But, I don't think it will replace or surpass bitcoin. Just check their circulating supply and mathematics will give you an idea.

Bitcoin is traded in every exchange in basically every country on the planet.

Ethereum was added only recently.

Neo is slowly following but it’s miles behind the big two.

If the network effect is not there (ie. enough people to make use of the tech), the value of the tech does not increase regardless of its advantages over the competition.

I would not be surprised that these NEO guys have been doing this silently right from the beginning and the pump in price last year with everyone entering the FOMO phase, most especially new investors, it could have been a strategy to make huge money from the volatile space as much as they can knowing there is a huge future for it. However, I know a time is coming when a lot of them is going to be rushing in and it would be like flood which is why everyone should try to at least make the best as much as they can now with the downtrend.

Yes, altcoins will exist with bitcoin just like they do now. They have their own purpose and people shouldn't be thinking about replacing/killing bitcoin as if both cannot exist at the same time, they already do. reminds me of those i-phone killer scenarios

Impossible. NEO can only compete with ETH. But to compete with ETH, NEO needs to do a lot of work. And NEO is never compared to Bitcoin. And no altcoin can do that

I don't know. I consider that NEO - one of the most underestimated products in the market at present. The idea to completely digitize the whole world - is grandiose and magnificent. I consider that so far it is impracticable, but it is worth waiting few years and here you already in a new era.
