Sure I did not even mean to forget about the rules, I just said that the one who hit royal flush will have the biggest chance to win. But instead of waiting the royal flush to come, dont you think it is better to slowly aim for lower chance like straight or flush often? But what we compete here is the percentage so by hitting royal flush if you do not have huge percentage then your name will not come on their leaderboard as well

Probably it is not only because of the game but also because of the requirements. This video tournament has more than 10x minimum wagering than the previous tournament. As long as I remember, the previous wagering requirement was 0.02btc only. Now with 0.5btc wagering requirement plus with chosen game, it is obviously harder for players to get +EV. This is why there are only 7 players participated, and only 2 of them completed the requirement so far.
