He isn't wrong in his sense, if the cryptocurrency is to have a future, they should be able to create an environment of trust between themselves and the authorities.

That could be true that sometimes crypto can be use in illegal transactions such as money laundering and other big time gambling. That's why some people see that crypto is bad, but if crypto can be regulated will so that trust and security issues will be solve. I think crypto is a good future for investors and users.

Although these great people are frowning to btc but I have a sense that they are the same people who will come back in the future and tell us btc has a future. If cryptocurrencies are bad or if btc is bad we dont really care. What we care is that, btc has a future and we will follow it to hit that future.

bill gates has a point, Maybe cryptocurrency is very risky when you enter it especially when you're investing using your own money, not from airdropped coin/token. There are many ICOs/selfdrops now that are not legit/fake. So be careful on what you invest right now guys, i mean there's more legit ICOs right there but some of them are fakes.

For me, Cryptocurrency to me is a good technological development, depending on how you use it. My advise most times to those who are into crypto, most especially the newbies, is for them not to be gullible. I think he's right, although, we could created a healthy space for cryptocurrency to thrive on without it being regulated by everyone who's underlyingly trying to manipulate the whole system. Cryptocurrency is by far one great stepping stone to the future and Bill Gates can be the key to making it prosper.

It does not really matter what Bill Gates says about cryptocurrency, it is not his field of expertise and just because he is a billionaire doesn't make his opinion more valid than an expert. Yes, there are some negative aspects of cryptocurrency, but there is also so much good it can do, it is surprising that he doesn't see that.
