I would say, at the moment its not possible that ethereum will hit five thousand u$sdollar. But end of the year it could be. Because Ethereum is not just a cryptocurrency. Its a blockchain operating system, which makes a lot of project possibles. They are also a lot of projects who are already running on it. So thanks to those project, which many of them will supported in future from big companys, it will safe the value of ethereum and will let him even rise higher than ever before!

Now that Ethereum are used by most ICO's do you think before the end of the year (2018) ethereum will go up to 5000 usd ?
Because for me I believe that ethereum has a potential to get that price before 2019 . What's your prediction ?
No one can this know, any opinion expressed in this topic, so and will remain simply opinion. If you want Ethereum to be worth $5k, then just believe it, but be prepared for what can happen and the opposite. |

To be honest, unless there are huge surges this year and the overall market caps hit over the Trillion mark, I don't see it happening until late 2019. Volumes and the market caps have been struggling most of the year and there is no indication things are going to go bull for extended periods of time. Regulations by the big markets across the world and outright banning have hurt the crypto world in the short term, but it should stabilize things over the long term.

By December we were happy when ETH reached $1000. Now it has halved and we should be happy if it stays at this level. If the ICO crackdown continues, more and more projects fail to deliver and the scaling problem won't be solved, I could see ETH return to $0.50.

Yes of course it could be. Because we know that most of the coins ERC20 (based on Ethereum) succeed at the beginning of ICO and succeed in their Project after ICO. This can be interpreted how easily ETH Network expands the world of Cryptocurrency. And again the smart contract they made for many Exchangers, further extends the extent of this ETH network. My prediction for ETH price before 2019 is $ 3000. |

I think that this year we will not be able to get such a high price for the ethereum. The maximum is 2000-2500 dollars by the end of this year. 5000 is a prospect for the next year.

I wish we could go to that price by latter part of this year.  i'm confuse right now when will be the next bull run after this bear market? So we could be happy after this lonely bear market. |

Amazing that you guys are still thinking about multiple thousands. That's only going to happen if we return to the situation before: no regulations, no KYC, super bull market and hopium everywhere.
It'll turn out at least 90% of the ICOs will fail just like in real life 90% of the startups fail. I don't see why crypto startups would fare a better than the non-crypto ones. In fact there's a higher chance they'll fail because many ICOs were ridiculous ideas to begin with.
Besides, every possible type of business on the blockchain has already been done by now. There'll be fewer new ICOs, so there'll be less demand for ETH.

Agree with topicstarter ETH should be around 5000 dollars till the end of 2018 or Q1 2019. Also i watch some famous trader video, he told that ETH will go to the moon and will be around 5k after summer.

I am not that optimistic. It would be great if ETH can make ATH this summer. Reach ATH is more expexted right now because reach $5k is not realistic this year. This ealry year is very hard for crypto and also for holder and investor. So stronger investor will be the winner. |

Could be possible. But at same time Ethereum is not going to get those many ICO's it's currently. Many other platforms with advanced technology are coming to live this year. More options available now.

I can not believe that Ethereum will reach the point of 5000USD in near future. It couldn’t be to the end of 2018. On my mind Ethereum will be stabilized near the price of 1000USD. Let’s wait for that. |

Eth will cost 5000 in some years not by the end 2018. It seems to me that the price of the Eth will reach 2k $. 5k its unreal price without strong prerequisites for growth at present time.
