Ethereum is the world's computing platform. It's a blockchain platform that has smart contracts that can be built on top of it. So anything from equities to fixed income to figuring out how your drone is going to charge on an electric station. All of that can be built on top of Ethereum. Ethereum is good coin and 2nd leading coin of this market. I think Ethereum have more potential to grow and by the end of december 2018 Ethereum will touch $5000 because so many new coins use ERC20 platform and it will gives a huge strength to Eth.

I wouldn't bet on it. 5000$ for this year would be a huge surprise for me. Unless we see a new pump this year as we know it at the end of 2017.
Still, Ethereum remains a strong value in the crypto and still worth investing in it
The current situation of the market is not that much good and that the market value of ETH is not that much good as most of the investors are not willing to invest their money into it because of its low market value. However, things will change and that the market value of ETH will surely go up and will help you in having some very good profit but you need to show little patience first so that you can have something profitable. |

Assuming that your expectations are correct or close to accurate, then the capitalization of the coin should be increased by almost 6 times. As I think, in the current realities this is impossible, there is a tendency for growth, but for such madness as in 2017 no power now.

Because for me I believe that ethereum has a potential to get that price before 2019 . What's your prediction ?
Based on my own TA it is possible that ETH can go up to 10k USD for this year. I also some analysis from trading view that has the same prediction. But again, don't take my word for it so invest at your own risk. |

It's funny to see two topics about the Etherium in the neighborhood with absolutely different forecasts for the price, one discusses a drop to 400, another growth to 5000. I more believe in $ 5000.

I think by 2018, the price of ETH is going to be $2,000, and in a bull market, ETH may be able to break that price, but it's not as fast as $5,000, but it's all decided in this market.

This is unlikely. I also like the Ethereum, but if you look at things adequately, then the Ethereum can increase to 2.5 - 3 thousand dollars. Maybe there will be some kind of candle that will reach 5 thousand, but this is a short-term phenomenon, which many will not even notice.

It's already hit an ath of $1500. It just needs to x3 from that to reach that price target. With multiple big news coming out for Ethereum this year I think that price target is easily achievable. Currently, eth is going sideways because BTC is pumping. Just wait for BTC to become stable.

I think it will if sharding is done. But Dan Larimer has said that this will be hard and be akin to fixing a 'moving engine'. Keep in mind that there will be thousands of ICOs this year alone though, and this alone will give Ethereum and intense push sooner or later. Institutional money + the next wave of newbies might rush in and make the overall market a multi-trillion dollar cap too. If I had to bet on it, I'd say at the very least 3k.

I mean, in this market everything has its share of possibilities, and so, that happening could always be around the corner. But, are you considering that that price point might be too much and too far off from where Ethereum's value is now? Remember that Bitcoin, before it reached its price point now took almost a decade to build, therefore, even if I side on the fact that Ethereum may reach that, 2018 would not be enough time for it to realize that high of a value because it should take in more changes and morph into a stronger currency that would help it reach that value. Maybe in two to three years, I could entertain that thought. |

First off, everything can happen mate! In this market, everything has a chance. But, you must consider that what you are suggesting could be too far off at the moment considering factors like Ethereum's current value and the amount it has to climb in that short period of time you are saying to cover such value of $5,000.00. It's not that easy; Bitcoin took years and years before it had its current value, and even now, that value is not safe because there might be a lot of movements that can affect it. The cryptocurrency market is just like that, it's a market of extremes, thus, a certain coin could go up or down at any moment. |

Well, that's a very fantastic assumption. I think Ethereum will have a good price. This price will be higher than the current one, maybe twice, but not more. I believe that the existing top altcoins will not give a lot of x and if you want to make a big profit, you should buy young, or undervalued coins. |
