We can't predict surely about anything in crypto. Though the last month was better for ETH then now. I don't think so that ETH will raise $5k in this year. But if it happens it will be better for all crypto members. Till now ETH isn't on the way of $5k. I think ETH may reach $2k-$3k in 2018.

That is a whole lot though, but considering how Ethereum has really surprised last year, there is nothing that is impossible. The whole market has dropped hugely for now and we cannot say just because of that we are not going to end up having a recovery. If Ethereum can start testing new highs, then anything is definitely possible as it is not the first time we are going to be seeing x10 on a coin anyway.

It is happening with bitcoin too. But fundamentally I am not seeing why eth have crossed $1000 recently and if it has the capability to $1000 then why not for $5000. There are bumpers who may take care of what is needed for some whales and others.

You guys are so optimistic here. I think it wont happen, ETH no so strong now. Probably it will go fall till 200 or 300 and stay here for a some period of time, but after that price will go up but not to 5k maybe to 800 or 1000. Red market is only a terrible market for newbies.For an experience crypto investors it is an opportunity to grab your basket  and buy more while it is on sale. Anyway $5000 price for Ethereum is achievable but not this year and still depends on Bitcoin of course.

Hm .. the two dates are very uncertain. If Ethereum will grow up to $ 5000 that Bitcoin will cost more than $ 50,000 at the low scenario. I can not imagine how much need infusions of cash to make such a price.
