I think that 2000$ by the end of 2018 is quite realistic. 5000$.... I don't think so, honestly. Maybe if all or most of the other coins disappear, then ETH and BTC might become the new crypto standard.

But id the price of Bitcoin are expected to cross $20000 till the end of the year, the trend will also be followed by ETH. Since we are in speculation mode. I don't think cryptocurrency in general will see any crazy price action this year (as compared to last year). The market influx needs to come from somewhere and generally speaking across all investment asset classes, this year is regarded to be the worst performing year.

Eth is the second most capitalized altcoin after bitcoin.  But for Eth to reach $ 5000 this year or 2019 is unlikely.  from the beginning of the current year.  We have witnessed the fall of the entire crypto market.  Eth lost more than 50% of its value compared to the end of 2017.

I don't see that is gonna happen!! Even, Nobody want's that kind of unstable growth. Ethereum won't make a full recovery till at least next year. It's a bear market its down with most news, waiting recover unless that price speculation just too much in my opinion.

ETH will be able to reach $ 5k per coin but it will take a long time to do that. Because a business can not grow so fast. Slow development but it will be real values. We do not need it to grow so fast, it brings a lot of risk. So I expect ETH to have a $ 5k price in 2023. That would be a safe price for it.
