I have not traded much in bittrex, I use other trading platform.. but yes, I completely agree that it is a good idea to diversify our coins or assets to different kinds of altcoins to mitigate the risk of losing it all in case the one you are invested on fall its price drastically. And long term is the key to earning big in trading.

I advise you to buy Ethereum, NEO, Litecoin and Ripple coins. I'm sure these four Altcoins will not disappoint you and you should not doubt the ability of these coins in the future. I wouldn't say to keep the coins on exchange Bittrex secure. I was faced with various problems, including locking of the purse with a large growth of a particular coin.

I'd suggest you to invest in Eth. There’s a high chance of a possibility that Ethereum will replace bitcoin in the top of cryptocurrency. Well, We all know that Bitcoin is the King of Cryptocurrency but Ethereum has a higher demand right now. Many investors are investing in Ethereum rather than bitcoin because of its possibility to increase its price. I would suggest investing in Ripple, because its price is low enough and it has strong support from the banking sector. You can also invest in ICON, Waves and similar coins with low cost, which have real business and technology platforms. They have a future.

IMO, the best way to invest $2000 is to split it on three equal parts between Bitcoin, Ethereum and NEO. This three are most promising coin on the market.

I would not even bother myself to invest two thousand dollars, it is not going to give you a big return in a short period of time, neither a long term.

That is why i prefer to invest larger amounts, otherwise, it is a waste of time + energy for me.

Not all people are so rich. some good traders started even with a hundred of dollars. I would recommend you to invest in TRON, EOS, IOTA, NEM, OmiseGo, and NEO.

The simplest answer is  Bitcoin and ethereum are the best coin and are safest to invest in...i would prefer ethereum for you,buy a couple of them after that you can go for NEO and Waves as well...these are my personal choise..but only you should decide what you should buy
