i think at this dropping time of the market, altcoins are very cheap so you can buy a lot of altcoins with 2000$, those can become very profitable in the future are ETH, NEO and Ripple, they are the top altcoins that had a significant rising last year, so they still have potential to rise more in this year. |

$2k? That is a pretty big investment for someone just joining the crypto scene. I would recommend Ethereum and Cardano. Both are platform coins and both have huge room of growth in 2018.
Somehow this funds is already big so best is to make some research where you can invest your money. And also good investment in different coins. Well, Ethereum is a nice choice and I can say good for long term. |

$2000 as mentioned earlier needs to be spread out. Some nice looking coins at low prices currently is ADA ARDOR etc. Always hold some BTC though

Bitcoin and all other altcoins price have started dropping again. It would be good for investment for potential investors. I think you should invest in bitcoin, Neo, Ethereum, and some in Litecoin.

I have learnt over time to wait when i'm not sure of some things.
Do not act on impulse based on assumptions that you need to invest.
If I have free cash of $2000, i will not invest in crypto at the moment (due to the volatility), I'd rather wait until the 'deepenings' have ended.
But I'd look to other avenues in crypto to make more money.
Value equates to money.
So ask yourself "where can I invest/add/create value?"
I can tell you for free that Bounties and Airdrops can make you $6k in 30-60 days(I'm speaking experientially).
The 3 rules of being financially stable are-
1. Do not Invest in things you have no deep understanding of.
2. Do not Lose money
3. Do not Forget rule number 2

Just pic the top ranked market cap coins because that is considered as the good potential coin,I think NEM is a good coin to invest soon the price will hit moon.And LTC,NEO is also the best option but $2000 may not enough to invest on that coins. |

In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts. The most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now. The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster. Well, You can check these neo, nano and nem. They have good potential and good support team, make your own research so you can choose which is the best to invest on. You got $2000 capital, for me that's is a huge money and you can choose 5 to 8 coins to invest. You can put bitcoin and ethereum for more profit to earn.

These three coins is good for investment because it shows a lot of potential for its each own future.
