stop generalizing just because you suck at it, there are lots of people who profit a lot and some even became millionaire by holding and trusting their coins, I suggest next time you hold a coin, make sure its a good one.
Also you may want to take heed that your choice of what coin is good, is borne out of your extensive studies and researches and not just the hype of its developers and hobbyist, which are often day dreams or illusions and the fewer the coins one has to keep tabs on, the better.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I don't think so. it really depends on what you are holding. If you hold good coin, it will be a good profit for you. Holding is bullshit when you hold a coin that is not good. So I will advice before you buy a coin, do your own proper research before buying don't buy because of hype. DYOR

Never hold any coin for long time. Hold for short time & sell instant when price is up. I will suggest you to follow crypto trade tekegram group instructions because they give real instructions to be profited.

Because your coins is bullshit too, that is why there are no improvements,HOLDING good altcoins and tokens will give you a lot of profits but holding these shitcoins which doesnt have good working product/services wont give you anything even you waited hundreds of years.Do a lot of research find new potential coins or projects only invest to good projects, read whitepaper check the team, the current developments and im sure your holdings will give you much better outcome.

I actually Laugh at your reply to him bro hahaha!. You are right holding shitcoins will make you stupid and shit Cheesy Before holding a coins or a token make sure that it have a good potential and have a good future you can easily notice that about what is the project of an ICO about their white paper so if I we're you Im gonna sell that shitcoins that you are holding 3years and 5 years because you will have no future with that Cheesy

I think there is rather a selective case when a person got into such coins, in which there are no prospects... Don't be obsessed with that.

If the guy has chosen coins that have no future, why does he blame holders and holding? I think here you have to make your own choice - nobody pushes you to hold alts: sell them if you are so unhappy, right?

I suggest that before you go holding you have be sure that the coin has a potential. You need good judgment about coins because it requires a lot of effort to find an invesment that will surely hit in the market. So better yet put a strategy and have a proper background in crypto.

Holding is not Bullshit at all, it all depends on the coins you chose to hold, most coins might not survive for long as they have poor project layout, holding such coins will come to no good at all as they might fail and fade in the long run, hold the right coin and you stand a chance to reap big
I'm holding and it's down more than I care to admit. But until I actually sell its not a loss in my eyes. Besides I'm actually in projects I like the tech of and believe in long term

You shouldn’t judge just because of this particular experience. In fact you are lucky not to be in good minus with this kind of investment on this kind of bearish market. The coins you chose are not the best to keep for so long, consider to sell them and invest in something more potentially profitable. I am sure you will change your opinion then

Well it's definetely about the choices you made. Holding can be rewarding if you pick the coins with good potential and bright future. Also you need to know when to hold and when to sell and rebuy to increase the amount of coin you have by doing it. One last thing i think espers will be a very good coin. Their whitepaper just got relased recently and i'm expecting it to increase a lot when we get back into bull market.

I hold 3 coins espers-(3 years),insane-(2 years),html - (5 years) Shocked and price is the same....no moon ....I dont trust to holding anymore,any suggestions?

Crypto is not a get rich quick scheme, most people who did gain wealth were savvy investors who seen the potential very early on, before the scene became mainstream. The others were comprised of a combination of cryptographers, computer programmers, anarchists, and anyone who has a nack for futurology.
If your looking to for gold, you may only find fools gold here. There are some lucrative projects that will most certainly moon. Which ones you say? Even if anyone knew, they wouldn't share openly on a public forum. There's a good book called "Rich dad, Poor dad." It illustrates, as well as highlights the pitfalls that the average joe faces on the road to success.
It doesn't  matter what country your from, it speaks for everyone within a similar predicament.
Practice due diligence, study at the investopedia website, as they provide courses and a wealth of information that is priceless.

Holding is still d beat way to go about crypto, it's a philosophy that is tested and always works. So the problem may be that you ate holding shit coins because if that's the case you won't make profits
Get in on solid projects and Hodl thats the way

You have to do what feels right and have no regrets. If you come out with an amount that your happy with and dont look back at what you could have had if the price goes up as nothing can change whats happened.

Many people who start investing in cryptocurrencies in december 2017. SO they buyed and they learned and heared from everywhere to hold their coins. So this people where motivated to do this, and then the cump cames on and they all made loss. Now they are all thinking that holding is bullshit. But its not. Holding doesnt mean to hold it untill you die. Sometime it comes the time when you have to sell it, thats when the coin is at the all time high!

You picked bad coins, that's all. Imagine that a few years ago you would have invested in bitcoin... Your opinion on long-term investments would be completely different.

Holding is absolutely not bullshit?
The whole case is to know what you should hold, and following a systemized strategy in doing that. Clever investment requires patience, and the ability to predict the right time of selling and buying.

I don't agree with you, holding is profitable if you holding good coins and have good potential on the future. not all coins will moon after hold for long term. it's your fault when choose a coin to hold. by the way, I never heard about your coins.

It depends on which coins that you are holding. There are many good coins to hold for a long term such as bitcoin, ethereum and litecoin. However, there are still many silly coins which I strongly advise not to buy it and hold. The longer you hold them, the more money you will lose

trading is more profitable then holding. don't wait for days and months if you see  the price is overbought sell and buy back from bottom.
this is how i try to get more profit and nowadays it works cause price swing is stable

holding is very necessary to do because with holding we can to continue to wait to get profit. holding can be done to avoid panic sell. many successful traders by following the holding and it always works.
