Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Those that are hoping for a higher share price have their answer as to why investors are cautious in the above numbers. Basically if total network hash rate (difficulty) doubles and BTC price drops to the $200's, then the BTC from mining will only cover the Hosting Fee.

What did I tell u guys? Over 20% aside just for hosting fees. If btc keeps dropping, this is going to rip into some decent profits we could have. But nonetheless I'm happy if hardware comes online quicker now. Looking forward to this update

Latest developments

- Deployment:
So far, Bitmine systems are coming in slow. We will visit them next Monday to discuss ongoing issues and delays in manufacturing and delivery as daily production volume remains low and is of course directly impacting our project. We remain in day-to-day communication to follow up on progress and speed up things wherever we can (we purchased our own PSU’s for the desk model as Bitmine ran out and has a delay with their PSU manufacturer, do part of assembly ourselves, use the fasted available shipping, etc. )

- Reinvestment:
We have purchased 18 new 1TH systems from LK Group Ltd. for a total of 108 BTC (6 BTC / System). These systems are also based on the A1 chip and should be available by end of next week (April 4th).  More info can be found on their website http://www.lketc.com/engoods/show/252.aspx

- Mining Pool:
It is our opinion that our hashrate is still too small to go solo and set up our own mining pool. We will evaluate this further as we grow, but are of course not bound to Eligius. Besides stable revenue / frequent payouts it is also important that our hashrate remains transparent and can be easily monitored by unit holders.

Although things are not yet at full speed, we are glad to have crossed the 150TH mark this week and provide steady revenue. We will continue to work hard for the growth and success of the PETA-MINE and keep you updated on new developments.

Thanks for the update! And I suppose that you guys have made some little background work about the LK Group Ltd. before you sent that 108 BTC to them, right? At least their website raises more questions than answers about the company itself... Huh

Edit: there seems to be an another company too in China with exactly the same name but doing slightly bigger machines: http://www.lktechnology.com/?page=product

Yea - we are currently relying solely on bitmine and a new unknown, negligible supplier - this is the first time I'm starting to really worry, I've invested far too much money in this to see it fall because of a poor third-party

Very frustrating times

On a side note, I still believe CryptX is doing a great job considering the circumstances

That's great, I hope Cryptx buys more miners from China in the future. The Occident is not well adapted for mass-production of electronics.
