So how would I even calculate a good market value for this asset
Based on difficulty I guess?

Smiley No, it's not so complicated Smiley

At first compute the
<PETA divident> = <mined BTC/GH/s/day> - <random number>

Then compare
<PETA performance> = <PETA divident> / <PETA price>
with
<PBmining performance> = <mined BTC/GH/s/day> / <PBmining price>
and
<B.MINE performance> = <mined BTC/GH/s/day> / <B.MINE price>

Hint: Where 1 GH/s = 0.0029 BTC/GH/s, mining  0,00002684 BTC/day ?

lmao.  It's seem's no matter what I do to try decrease the huge negative amount of bitcoin i've lost in this investment it only results in that negative # getting larger :/

A bit surprised people are selling this low but sort of understandable given the lack of liquidity on the Buy side.  My guess, confidence not real high in petamine atm.  Sooner or later with all this new efficient mining gear hitting the network CryptX and crew are going to have to come up with something big to keep interest in this project alive much into 2015 imho

+1 (you nailed it)

Oh there is always room for development, especially in this market. However, the PETA project is still active. With the small increases of difficulty there should certainly be room for gain via dividend payments. The only thing that needs to be brought back is the "trust" in this asset. It appears the lack of communication on the cryptx team is hollowing out the share price. Time will tell though. Presently still a great investment, especially for those who off loaded their shares before the drop at 0.0016/17/18/19 or had capital to invest at that time.

Are you still having hope that CryptX will pull a rabbit out of their hat? They already have written PETA off, they are busy with their next project.

I decided to no longer use a signature, because people were trolling me about it.

lol, of course they have something. It's no magic trick, it's a business. Just like in any stock market it's up and down. What other investment pays such high dividends daily.. weekly.. or even monthly? Presently the problem lies within the trust aspect to this investment, a loss of trust due to lack of communication. That being said, the reason for divs being pushed down (a little) is due to the drop in BTC and increase of cost to give you that dividend through mining. If BTC rises, the div will rise, as such so will the share price. Having communication plus a rise in BTC will send the share price much higher that it is now. Additionally, if cryptx starts another PO for more hardware that should also raise the div and share price.

Everything you say is true.  Additionally, where he to lower the hosting/admin costs to a far more reasonable rate it would also help dividends quite a bit.  Some communication would be nice of course but what would be even nicer is him spending some of that big satoshi on some additional hardware to increase the GH/share ratio.

1158 satoshi's/share for today's dividend :/

...and the dividends keep coming...  Smiley
Meanwhile there are many black swans in the economy that are looming - these will:
1) most likely cause a stock market crash
2) drive precious metals prices up
3) make Bitcoin even more attractive than it already is
As an example, look at how much Bitcoin is gaining popularity in Argentina now that they defaulted!
With all this, our dividends will likely become more and more valuable in fiat terms. Our mine, therefore should also become more valuable which will be reflected in the share price.
I don't believe that everything is negative! At this point in time, the potential for an upside move is just as good as the potential for a downside move.
So, is the risk worth it? You can vote with your shares - sell them, or buy more!
The beauty of mining is we don't have to buy any more bitcoins - we just get bitcoins every day - day in and day out...!!! What could be better?

What about the plans to move the hashrate to P2Pool? Has anything come to fruition regarding that? I only followed the whole endeavor from the sidelines. But I think there hasn't been any progress, has there?

From my understanding you guys have a fixed 1GH/share now...?? How would another PO raise your div and share price??
