I don't know much about him.  But my gut instinct is that he has already bought in what he wants, not this crazy 25% figure.  I don't even think 25% has been mined yet...

Is this what they refer to as instamime?

Not really.  Instamine is when the first blocks of a coin generate a large percent of the coin supply, especially when the dev is the only person mining in the first blocks because no one else has had a chance to download the client.  This coin was very fairly released.  It is generating coins a bit faster than expected, but those coins are still fairly distributed.

I thought instamiming was when some huge mining operation drops in and mines a lot of coin at the current difficulty, then when it adjusts he moves on and mines another coin leaving the long time miners mining at a super high difficult. Then the huge miner comes back when difficulty drops to whatever the community supports. (Screwing the supporters)

This is happening with lots of SHA-256 coins.

42coin has solutions but not really appropriate there, as it uses script.

Those are just multipools and whales.


instamiming is when a coins is starting out with very low difficulty or the programmer had wrong values so the difficulty does not clime mush for the hash power put at it and everyone mining that coins rips threw thousands of blocks before the difficulty level goes up. Typically they say x amount of blocks per day or 1 block per x minutes but when it's a instamine they will do 3~6 months worth of coins in a few hours.

Is this what they refer to as instamime?

That is what happens when a multipool or a whale put their Mega hashes at it since it was the most profitable at that point in time and they leave to mine another coin with it is more profitable to mine. Then they come back when the difficult get low and it's is the most profitable to mine. So as the price of Unobtanium rose from all of the buying the last couple of day the multipools started hitting this coin for the profit.

Yes, The coin about double in value in the last fews days so it got a lot of hash put at it. I have two ASIC miner one on a multipool and the other on a coin. When I see the multipool switch to Unobtanium I point my other miner on it and when the multipool gets off Unobtanium I point one at the other coin. The multipool that I use changes once every 20 minutes so it will pound on the coin and move it's difficulty up.

Block reward of 1 coin per block, halving every 102,000 blocks and finishing with a minimum subsidy of .00001 after 612,000 blocks. Maximum of 250,000 coins ever.

We just got past another halfing (current block count: 205411) so since there is less to mine that also brought up the price. In another ~100,000 blocks the rewards will get cut in half down to 0.125 per block.

I'm curious as to people's thoughts about this pump. Given the smaller community that UNO has, will it be more "loyal" to the coin? I.e. not participate as much as those do in a traditional pump of any ordinary $hitcoin thereby making it harder to pump?  Especially since a lot of people have worked hard for the coin since there was no premine? Thoughts?

Maybe I sold too early, and I hope you earn 1000% in this pump, but as I'm watching now the pump seems to be coming apart. Who knows, maybe he'll pull it off and maybe he's the one benevolent pumper with a big heart and I'm a huge fool for not giving this mysterious anonymous pumper from China my unreserved trust. I guess We'll see how it goes. All I know is that I made some really good money today, and for once I didn't come out on the bad end of a pump. Thanks UNO.

I hear ya, the 400% is hard to turn down. Saw on the chat that he's gonna try to get it to 0.1. In this crazy crypto world, I have always taken the viewpoint that any money I've put into this exercise had the potential to be completely lost. As a result, I'm a long-term holder of various alts in addition to BTC. I have tried to identify alts with a great community, a niche service or attribute and then consolidate some holdings for the long-term.  I have had great success so far with LTC, PPC, QRK, and now UNO.  I look at people that ditched their BTC at $12 back when we were mining with Radeon GPUs and wonder if they wish they'd held those 1,000 coins...I'm sure they do.

I'm only willing to sell 5% Unobtanium holdings, but my sell orders are between .04 and 1 BTC.  Plus I'm buying more when I have the chance.  The next 5% will be sold after price is between 1 - 4 BTC.  Bulk of UNO will remain UNderground.  Give the UNO market a year and let's see what happens.
