Pre-ordered a batch 1 BFL miner and regretted it, but did get my USD ROI. (Would have been much better off buying BTC instead but whatever). I then stupidly believed the July release promised by these jokers and bough in again. NEVER AGAIN! Best case these ship 4 months late, bringing ROI from a few months to not-gonna-happen. Mark my words after dealing with these guys for most of a year now nobody will ever see one cent in dividends.

They are on track as predicted by folks who understand the ASIC development process... it was predicted they'd ship in November, and they are on that track. At least they didn't announce this 5 minutes before the Q3 deadline, but the reality is they've likely known about this for awhile..

For anyone who still believes in this "share scheme", where do you think you guys are getting your money from? They're not opening up new batches of gear. If they plan to ship a new, improved, batch within a month or so of the first.. they'd already have to have had it go through tapeout as well. Unless they open a batch after shipping, and then you guys wait years for anything to happen.

Seriously.. listen to the folks here, get cracking on your cases. Best of luck to everyone. This corpse continues to roll down the road.

In the interest of there being no confusion, July while it was our genuine expectation, is not mentioned in our terms. As a result of this we have decided to announce shipping to be September as per our terms

https://alpha-t.net/news/development-update-28072014/

2 days left in September. I suggest everyone logs this news entry as well as their T&Cs for when the inevitable happens.

I'm honestly expecting them to announce bankruptcy or closure, to be honest.

Hi Mates,
I just found this post.
I also do not believe that AT is producing anything.
I requested full refund and wrote in their forum.
The result until now: No any reply to my e-mails and my account and IP were banned from their forum Sad.

Captured: http://postimg.org/image/yncgmyds9/

What I found more interesting is the wording: "...this is something we have learnt we should have done from the start so we can avoid expectations and hopefully announce good news".

Also, found on here: http://postimg.org/image/yncgmyds9/ is the promise: "we will be paying extra to have every aspect of this next stage expedited and we expect shipping to commence sometime in the latter half of September"

So it's been 2 months, and they still haven't learned to properly project progress or discern management milestones. They will now be 3-4 months late on delivery, or another way to look at it, 1-5 gigahash behind global competition, and have failed to deliver prior to competition or at a better efficiency rate. Even if their gear exists and ships and is more efficient, the fact is with a growing nethash, hash power now is worth more than hash power down the road.

Also, keep in mind their share scheme is based on the company lasting for years, with more batches each year, and possibly someone like Facebook buying the company out (You can read that on their news page). They talked frequently about batch 2 orders, up until recently--they haven't talked about future batches in awhile now.

*golf clap for Alpha*

As retro and others have suggested, keep focusing on your cases and don't let up. 50/90mh machines are fast-tracking themselves the way of the dinosaurs, as competition ramps up multi-hundred MH systems, with some promises into the GH/multi-algo range fpr upcoming generations.

or Alpha believes in its reasonable opinion that your continued membership of the Scheme would be likely to bring Alpha or any party associated with it into disrepute

Don't think, even getting caught molesting goats, could bring any more disrepute on Alpha, than they are able to achieve themselves.

Someone needs to call the UN to send in blue helmet soldiers to protect the altcoins. Or something.

More seriously, what's the problem? Is it providing power to the chips?

“It’s absolutely thrilling for us that we are going to be able to ship you your miners at any moment now. However, we do realize that making batch one happen has not turned out exactly as we all had hoped and planned, and just like you: we are very disappointed with that.”

The problem seems to stem from those who are in it for the short term, and only thinking about short term ROI, and are dumping coins as soon as they are mining them. This seems to have had a negative effect on the value of these coins,” said Akram.

Has anyone actually received that email from alpha? Or is it a fake e-mail? Because on the forums a bunch of purchasers have not received the Refund e-mail.
Yea, i also received dat email, aint fake. I have requested full refund back in July and after this i have filed my claim.
I am not interested in partial refund, i only accept 100% refund.
I been searchin through this thread for successful claims. Slipknot79, did you receive answer from court or any update on your case? thx

I ll write you a PM, Alpha is lurking here, so no tactics here on forums.

Please send to me as well. My case is still pending.

So I just bought 1GHs (1000MHs) of Scrypt mining for $4500.  Shipping now and delivered in 3-5 days.

Alpha tech is selling 250MHs for $8800.  Delayed until late October.

Hey Alpha Tech does this sound familiar?!??!?!  Everything BFL did you've repeated in SPADES.!!!!  And they are on trial by the FTC.  You hear that MOHAMMED AKRAM YOU ARE NEXT....

Chat transcripts internally show that the company was also actively working to defraud customers and find reasons to cancel orders.
Just like Alpha Tech
AT has been defrauding customers by trying to cancel their orders and only refund them 30% even though some customers paid in FULL!!!!

They also show the company’s internal panic as other companies cropped up with better systems and the subsequent debates if they should lie about the progress they are making to deflate some of the announcements.
Just like Alpha Tech
AT knew they failed their tapeout and needed to fund a new one  so they lied about progress and demanded full payment at teh same time to fund the new tapeout.  FUCK YOU MOHAMMED!!!!

It also appears the company actively worked to defraud Dwoalla with transfers to personal accounts even suggesting they claim they were “customer accounts” in internal chat transcripts to make transfers immediate and in violation of Dwoalla’s TOS.
Just like Alpha Tech
AT lied about the products they sold to get past PayPals preselling rules.  When they were caught PayPal disabled their account and froze the funds in it.  Alpah Tech then started scrubbing the internet so they can try to get another credit card processor.  When the processor found about the preselling they cancelled the account to and forced AT to refund customers.  If they didn't MOHAMMED would have just kept the funds and refused to refund them.  ASSHOLE!!!!

We also learn that the company knew how behind it was and began debating what lies to tell the public to manage shipping expectations.
Just like Alpha Tech
AT kept lying about shipping all the way up to 3 days before their expected delivery date.  Even their new date of September was a lie as they now are saying October.

The company was also aware internally they would not make the shipping times promised but continued to lie publicly.
Just like Alpha Tech
MOHAMMED you are suck a FARKING liar.  That is a FACT!!!!

FED's will likely look into AT http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2014/09/feds-butterfly-labs-mined-bitcoins-on-customers-boxes-before-shipping/

BTC = Black Swan.
BTC = Antifragile - "Some things benefit from shocks; they thrive and grow when exposed to volatility, randomness, disorder, and stressors and love adventure, risk, and uncertainty. Robust is not the opposite of fragile.
