I can understand what you mean but i totally disagree, i think Goldcoin's parameters are perfect, nothing needs to be changed. The client we have is also great. What we are lacking is Promotion and marketing this is why we are focusing on a new target audience. If you are on here 'Bitcointalk' you basically know every coin which is available, everyone has there favourites and committed to certain coins which they are invested in which makes sense. When we have adopters and investors from out side this bubble ie 'bitcointalk and the crypto world' $380 to buy up the mined coins will be like a piss in the wind. The thing is when we talk about investments some of us get the wrong value associated with investment. A investment to me is $1000 minimum, others might be $50.00, its what you can afford. With the South African conference which we have just held we are offering investments starting at 20000 South African Rand ($1800.00 USD) So we get one investor come forward then we will see dramatic change and more investments will follow. The problem does not lie with the specs of the coin. Its about marketing now and bringing Goldcoin new users/ investors. The price of Goldcoin has been very stable in terms of average price since January 2014, probably the most stable coin in fact. The price will certainly not go no lower than what is has already done, it will only be going up.

Hamuki I am not sure if you know about the new codebase that is being prepared for Goldcoin.  It is written from scratch with new features to crypto.  Soon Goldcoin will no longer be a fork of BTC or LTC.  Goldcoin is my top pick for a long term investment into an altcoin because of the huge potential it has.  Goldcoin has proven that it is here for the long run with strong dev support still after a year and a half.  I wonder how many of these new coins being made daily will still have dev support after a year or two

This makes me  , Putin thinks he's one step ahead of other countries by buying/ investing in physical gold. Thats why were are one step ahead of him and investing into Digital Gold, Goldcoin.

you should just be able to make a copy of your wallet.dat file and download the latest client and replace the wallet.dat file in the new wallet with yours

I spoke with him today, and he confirmed that he's getting ready to release the alpha to the team. He's not sure of the exact date, but promised that it would be any day now.

Shouldn't you guys be promoting within the community here a tad more?

As crypto king rightly said and what you have just mentioned, it would not take much BTC to get to a complete new level in price and this would not be a pump if then investors continue to purchase. There is more volume in buys at this moment.

Yea, but there is a need of people and investors to make that possible.
I would say go all in on promotion now and keep this thread active, and spread the word about goldcoin.
GLD cant be this low in price with such a good name.

Thats one of the huge positives with goldcoin., many coins from its generation went pos/pow for security however for goldcoin there was a new 51% attack security measure invented, thats something really in goldcoins favor.

On its own merits it should do great without any panic changes just to get noticed for some short term pump and dump, like many other alts do.

I'm not sure of the full details of the new client but from what I've heard it could be as innovative and original as they get, with implementation of some long sort after features, guess why its taking so long big big task.

Looking at cryptsy there is just not enough coins for people to buy at the prices they want, if the buyers stop being greedy and raise there buys to the ask price then goldcoin will fly.
