Anybody know who bought the Bitcoin trademark from Karpeles?  That would tell you who's gonna choose which chain after they split it.

I remember he had the Europe and US trademark for Bitcoin and there was talk that he was selling them.  But I didn't care enough at the time to keep up with it. 

The way it is I'd say China will keep the long Bitcoin chain and the bankers will take the short chain and immediately scale to 8-20MB plus add some wallet functionality, new PoW algo and maybe some PoS scheme to sweeten the pipe dream.

With small blocks the Chinese will need to employ sidechains, segwit, LN, etc which is why Blockstream is taking out patents. 

When people hear they'll get double the BTC they'll forget about blockchain immutability, not realizing that this is nothing more than inflation and a loss of your net worth by 50%.  Welcome to digital fiat [which I predicted in 2013]. 

Ethereum just became the first digital fiat by doubling the amount of ether in circulation.  100% inflation with manipulation to prop up the price to create the illusion of new wealth to get the muppets cheering and begging for a Bitcoin split.

Thanks for posting that, I saw that a few months ago but didn't look closely at it.  Notice how 3 other guys were denied the trademark but this guy was ok'd.  How is that possible.  And oh, he's totally altruistic - he doesn't want it, he only got the trademark so the community can have it.

He's most likely front-running for someone.  I wonder if/who has the trademark in China.  That's the big one.

From nearly 4 months ago.  Bankers are almost as predictable as governments! 

Only 2 days left until the big reveal in London so I think my prediction of the 14th will prove correct.  Now we just have to figure out why that date was chosen. 

The more I think about it the more I feel like this is going to be a massive brute force attack [by Classic bankers] against core and the Chinese miners.  They need Satoshi to get enough pull over core so they can threaten splitting Bitcoin in two if they don't agree with classic.  This would split Bitcoin in two and start the biggest Cryptowar ever.

I saw that a while back.  If I'm not mistaken China also gave factom some contracts or some money. 

At any rate, the governments of the world and banks/corps are no longer pretending they hate Bitcoin.  They got the traction they needed, now it's time to push it mainstream and blow it up in an unworldly way to bring in the groupthink muppets of the world.

I wish they'd do the Bitcoin Hardfork ASAP cause that's the one thing that makes things difficulty to predict - mainly the Bitcoin price.
