Where can I read the "rules" defining how and when shares take part in a shift? I'm new at this and according to what I can understand, so far my shares seem to participate in 1/3 or 1/4 of the shifts. I guess this is normal, but... where can I get more info?
Thanks.

Lovely. This is an unexpected and desirable feature, albeit only marginally profitable for us.

They don't add fees (saving us 4%) and give us merge mining (another what? 1%). Id say this is a good result.

I just checked out Vircurex, and as always prices/BTC are pretty minimal, but a couple of months ago I exchanged all 150 of my Slush merged Namecoin for 1.5 BTC, which was lovely.

We would also like to state that are on the final stage of implementing merged mining. We have already implemented the mining functions, and every CEX.IO user can see stats of alt coin mining. The withdraw function is being implemented right now. The withdraw button is greyed out for now, but will be enabled soon. This does not affect your BTC mining, but gives you additional income. And the good news are - the GHash.IO pool fee stays 0%We will also be able to answer any upcoming questions on this forum, or via a support ticket on CEX.IO: https://cexio.zendesk.com/requests/newGreat news! Thanks for fantastic service.

So just to check what you are saying about your business model (as if you don;t have one then I am less likely to trust you) - You are getting your profits from the sale of the hardware - and the trading platform is effectively your sales/marketing engine?
At the moment the (market) price is high enough that you can make a profit - but if it drops (and you add additional hardware into the pool) then you will need to consider charging fees (maint and trading) when/if that happens?
Does that capture it?

I noticed that 1 satoshi is deducted every time I cancel an order. No big deal but whats up with that and where can I read more about this as I do not see it in the FAQ?

Maybe n00b but.. When you want to place a buy order, just click on the price you want on the sell table, even if not the first one. It will sum up to the available minimum value. This is ok to wipe those 0,0000x Same if you sell.
example:
0.0902 0.04699048 0.004238541296 0.0903 0.04620559 0.004172364777 0.0904 0.05059926 0.004574173104 0.09046 2.4786566 0.224219276036
I put cursor on buy form, then double click the 4th so I have a sum of the previous 3

I bought 33GHs at 0.096 which maybe a bit high. It would be nice if there was an easy way to see what the avg buy price of all your ghs. To determine a good time to filp I changed current setup to their and everything is working well. For a total bo about 50ghs.
