You need remember about the 90/90/90 rule is a basic rule of trading. It means 90% of new traders lose 90% of their trading capital in the first 90 days. And 500$ is good amount to start your trading life.

I'm just not sure if i should be only focused on the top 10 or can i pick xxx coin that's ranked between #40-#150. I can say i like about 15-20 coins/tokens i just feel that's way to many for $500. I would like to put half in blue chip coin and invest in some alts with the remaining half. I was thinking put $50 into 4 atls???

I suggest that you put your half on blue chips for securing your capital on long term and the other half on what altcoin you want that you think will pump.

It's better to buy $500 or not to buy a coin, so it might be less profitable but less risky. The investment always wants the reward.

I think $500 is a very small amount to investment, So i suggest you to invest in low value coins it is better for you. BITB, RDD, Siacoin, XVG and Ripple  are some low value coins which have to more potential to grow in future. if you invest in those coins and hold it for long term then you will get good returns

 If you want to invest your 500$, you may want to try investing in BTC which is the best profitable crypto coin in the market with a lot of potential growth. We can't deny that BTC is still the best coin to invest with especially this 1st quarter of the month, you just have to wait for the perfect time to buy at dips or when the market falls again in order to maximize your profit margin. If you want to divide your earning, you can divide it in 50-50 with 2 potential growth coins or altcoins, for example , 250$ for BTC and 250% for ETH, you will not regret investing in ETH since it is the best choice investing in an altcoin which has highest market cap and profitability. You just have to do it right, buy at the right time and sell it at the perfect time. Holding is not easy, it will take a lot of patience, but it will be worth it in the end.
