All of the hw errors make me kinda sad.

Same as me, I am getting a lot of HW errors. PXY0 is an ASICminer blade overclocked and has a far less ratio between accepted shares and HW errors.

Code:
 PXY 0:       |  9.87/12.82/12.46Gh/s | A:2724 R:56+14(1.9%) HW: 393/.91%

 BPM 2:       |  2.36/ 2.36/ 2.14Gh/s | A: 425 R: 0+ 0(none) HW: 293/3.9%
 BPM 3:       |  2.32/ 2.32/ 2.21Gh/s | A: 443 R: 3+ 0(.68%) HW: 334/4.3%

Forget about the HW errors, What are you getting back from the pool?  That is what matters.

Sadly enough I'm starting to feel the bluefury isn't a good product.
It's sold as 2.2-2.7ghs but many people don't even get above 2ghs. Besides that it seems many miners are bad products, only mining half speed or lower, and the amount of HW errors on all devices is just so high.
People have to do pencil mod tricks to get some decent speeds. (and I'd like to add, please remove those posts from this thread, pencil-modding a device has nothing to do with support)

Also I see many questions and little answers.

Hoping there will be something like new drivers or firmware that will fix this, but slowly I feel it was a bad buy, especially considering the price we paid.

Scam-Busting PSA: Beware of Black Arrow Software

Got one of these to play with between old gear and waiting for new pre-orders to arrive. Running on W7 x64 with CGMiner 3.8.1 (had to use zadig to bind the driver to the device), alongside a crappy BE (which basically just keeps the room warm  Wink). I also tried this with the custom edition BFGminer linked in the first post which worked straight away after installing the .inf using device manager.

They work but the performance is poor against the stated numbers but this could still be due to my current setup, but it's still an interesting device regardless. CGM and BFG both reported similar hash rates numbers (though BFG didn't seem to report *any* errors, but I think this was inaccurate rather than amazing performance).

The numbers are (I've included the BE just for comparative purposes against other cheap hardware):
REPORTED BY CGMINER 3.8.1
 AMU 0:                | 335.3M/335.1Mh/s | A: 4204 R:  0 HW:  41 WU: 4.7/m
 BF1 0:                | 2.183G/2.175Gh/s | A:27518 R:203 HW:1847 WU:30.6/m

REPORTED BY POOL (Ozco.in)
 AMU      449.09 MHash/s
 BF1      1,294.84 MHash/s

I'm assuming the difference between the pool report and the software report is due to the number of rejects/errors, though I'm happy to be corrected by anyone who's more informed, and that is the source of the my little disappointment. At this stage, I'm not ready to blame the hardware personally, because I'm just awaiting delivery of a higher quality powered hub with hopefully a cleaner feed than my current, and new cooling heat sink and fan, once I've done this I'll be interested to see the results. I'll also try on another pool shortly, just to see if it's a problem with Oz. If these don't improve the throughput I'll be more inclined to think it's the chips or boards not meeting spec. Not pencil modded yet, I'll try this once I'm happiest that I've got the hashrate/errors at a stable level to provide a baseline for measuring any impact.

That's a perfect illustration why I like this forum. The highly refined and curteous way people here communicate with one another.  Roll Eyes

Even though it might draw the wrath of HellDiver on me: In part I do agree with the previous poster: 2.2"ish" Gh/s is != 2.7 +/- 10

It's my understanding that the hashrate meter is constantly being revised at ozcoin and it's been rather inaccurate of late. Check the actual number of shares match to confirm there's nothing going astray, or try it on another pool (for at least an hour).

I have had problems with the 3.2.0 bfgminer losing contact with one of my furies over extended uptime (in Win7x64).  The problem doesn't seem to affect cgminer, however.

I would also add that I actually saw FEWER HW errors from my Fury after the 'pencil mod'.  It took my effective rate from about 2.11ghps to 2.55ghps or so.  Not bad, not bad at all.  It does make the fury a little warmer, but not as hot as the BEs get without any mods.  So as long as you you have a decent fan on them, you should be fine IMHO as long as you're not in some rather hot area with no air conditioning.  There are lots of unknowns when first developing a product.  I strongly suspect if they had it to do again, they'd use a different resistor in that spot, or make it configurable/programmable.  I don't fault them for that at all.  They err'd on the side of caution, and a few swipes with a pencil is entirely easy.

One good thing about bfgminer, however, is that it will report the faster speeds almost immediately from the pencil mod.  Those first two numbers go up to like 3ghps or so for the fury, with an effective (3rd #) rate of about 2.5 to 2.6ghps.  So I am quite content.  It's within the low-end estimate range without the mod, and hits the high-end estimate (2.7ish) with the pencil mod.

And to the person who asked that the pencil mod info be taken down...  Who the hell do you think you are?  Honestly?  Bitterdog took time out of his life to provide high-quality images for everyone.  He could have kept such info to himself, but didn't.  I, for one, very much appreciate his efforts and the efforts of everyone involved (Beastlymac and SSINC in my case) in bringing this product to us.  If only BFL had people with such integrity working for them...

Slush needs one full block and or one hour, minimum, for the miner hash rate to settle.
Also a minimum of 10 blocks to show your pool average.

People have to do pencil mod tricks to get some decent speeds. (and I'd like to add, please remove those posts from this thread, pencil-modding a device has nothing to do with support)

Possibly there is enough material, here in this thread, regarding over clocking, to justify a new thread, dedicated to overclocking? Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

All groupbuy leaders have received the compensation. You will need to talk with them. I have seen Maidak, OutCast and SSINC already distributing it.

Blah, feel free to feel the way you feel about what I post. In all honesty, I couldn't care less. It's not helping anyone either, but I hope you got your daily portion of "let's be negative at random forum people"
You're better off trying to help all the people who are not getting what they've paid for.

Point still stands they're sold as 2.2-2.7ghs and I see hardly anyone actually achieving this speed.
Point also still stands there are many HW errors
Point also still stands that many devices are just broken
And finally the point also still stands that many people have questions and beastlymac only replies now and then on stuff like compensations, but isn't coming with a solution for people who are lacking speed in their miners.

The hw errors are from the chip itself. I would say anything over 10% hw errors after atleast 6 hours testing is potentially faulty and you should contact your groupbuy leader to go through the RMA process.

We are replacing broken units currently. If you have problems with your device and it arrived broken. If it has been modefied or the board is damaged in anyway then we can't replace it.

Feel free to ask me questions but I don't have enough hours in the day to answer them all. Also other members are helpful and step in to fix problems that is what I like to see a community behind a new product. In regards to the performance not being 2.7 as we thought it would be that was already answered.

Anymore questions?

Message me if you have any problems
