I will recommend to you to stay away until cryptocurrency market is in bear market. It drop much lower and your investments will bleed altogether.
I see Bitcoin dropping much lower and it will reflect on altcoin market as well.

I would buy 400$ Ethereum and 100 TRX. But TRX is just a hype coin. They doesn't have any product and the whole price of TRX is just huge news nothing more. When the market will grow ETH will be more stable.

I also heard about the Tron coin it's continuing to increase the price while the other are in the lower price it's a good coin, but if you can afford you should try to invest both Ethereum and TRX.

Many ico project applications are based on ETH!

I would advice you to buy etherum over tron anytime any day. It has more use case that tron.

If you are going to buy your first crypto then why it is not the bitcoin because bitcoin is the father of bitcoin surely it will give profits in long term as of now the price has fallen pretty much so it is the investing time.So buy bitcoin is my suggestion even if it is expensive then the ethereum and TRON.

But I feel like BTC is limited in scope... and ETH has way less boundaries to expand. But you look more experienced than me. So why is BTC better (besides the fact that it was the "first" one?) I really need to know!!

Each and every coin of the crypto currency world just follows the bitcoin price movement if there is up in bitcoin price then other coins are also bumps and vice versa so you can invest on the king itself then following the others.
BTC is better because it has limited quantity but ETH is not limited so your coin may lose its value if developers increases its supply that is the reason bitcoin is better than ETH.

I just don't see the appeal of tron.
It's a completely speculative coin that has absolutely no market value or market penetration yet.
Yeah, you can say, some day it will be developed and then...wow!
But the crypto world has matured beyond that.
Especially after the last 3 months, people want substantial companies rather than speculative ones.

Now think of eth:
HUGE market penetration and brand awareness
The BIGGEST crypto network in existence
continuous and ACTIVE development
Is entirely fungible (almost as fungible as btc)
Is starting to be used as valuation of all crypto in hand with btc.

So which one is a more valuable company?
The answer should be obvious.

It depends on your purpose. If you want to maximize your profit I would invest in promising projects with a small market cap. Tron and ETH both have a relative high market cap. If you want to buy Tron or ETH I would prefer ETH because it is #2 cryto currency and it is very unlikely that this will change in near future. You are also be able to invest in ICOs with your ETH.

if you have $ 500 you can buy 1 eth more, yes I guess this is the most ideal compared to tron. I prefer to ethereum. because however eth is more effective in terms of growth because it has technology and smart contracts

Ethereum has a lot of ICOs based on it, but definitely isn't as safe of an investment as others here are claim it to be.

I think you should also seriously consider NEO. Before this down turn, NEO was holding strong whilst everything else crashed, it will probably be one of the first to make its way back to its all time high.

of course TRON price is cheaper than ethereum.
but, in growth opportunities ethereum is superior to tron. I think you can buy eth and tron, you can buy 1 ethereum and the rest for tron. I think that's fair.

You are right, No doubt about the power of Ethereum but we can’t underestimate Tron.

Right now the value of TRON is low as compare Ethereum, so you can take a big quantity, but as you are a new comer so my opinion is you must have to split your aced to ETH & TRON.
