the 2016 Blocks are done. Massive difficulty drop appears ... Nicehash points >2300 GH/s on Raven. Difficulty will increase dramatically after the very quickly mined 2016 Blocks and we will be there with 500 GH/s for the next week to mine 0.1 Blocks/minute.

Nice! .... not.  Angry

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Thats crazy because x16r is so bad on nicehash... I don't know why anyone would be pointed on that algo from nicehash. Just find a pool with raven.. I find it easier just to buy my ravens and mine something more profitable right now like Lyra2rev through nicehash... not enough power to mine without a pool unfortunately..

In the morning I could not connect to the stratum Icemining. Switched the miner to https://cryptopool.party, 0.5 coins since then. A month ago was 100 coins a day))) If the situation does not improve, who will mine this coin at this price?
UDP: https://cryptopool.party removed Ravencoin. What is happening?
I think I missed your point in my reply to you previously.
No - I wouldn't want to mine if I was getting 100 RVN a day then it went to 0.5

Ravencoin (RVN) Decentralised: RHE9Pys8aQ47G28PYhC2umaT7ouNvtpXkU
Hanacoin (HANA) Centralised: HJzbjF8YUcETVB6K23o84aRY7wBirzJNrr
Both can work

Hey everyone,

There is something wrong with rvnstats. I think the difficulty difference is calculated based on info from a certain amount of hours before. Right now it shows difficulty went down by 2000 (last difficulty change) and that is exactly the difference between the 41K we had before and the 39k we have now. In between these we've had the 10k difficulty. Don't think it looks at really last difficulty but the difficulty that was 33 hours ago (give or take).

Can this be fixed?

I just listened to yesterdays conference call of Overstock and heard Patrick Byrne disclose that Overstock now owns 85 million of RVN and that he is very positive about Ravencoin.

You can listen it here for yourself, it's only a few minutes: https://youtu.be/d7UlM0CpMQo?t=1h1m33s

Hi everyone.  The developers are going to start doing a 1 hour open dev meeting every week (or every 2 weeks - details are still pending) on IRC.  Everyone is welcome to attend, but for the sake of staying on target, please limit interactions to questions and comments on code or projects that you are working on.  Any time left over at the end can be opened up for general Q&A.  The channel is #ravencoin-dev on https://webchat.freenode.net/

Today's meeting will be held at 2:00pm MDT (8:00pm UTC).

This is good to know about that they have big amount in holding and looking quite confident for great future of this coin. I also invested into this coin because of them and now thinking to put few more into this.

Your wallet address does not show on http://rvnhodl.com also
Make sure your wallet is sync'd - the transaction may show as failed once it is
Add 4 or 5 IPs from http://rvnhodl.com/network to your conf file to help open connections.

Example of format
addnode=107.161.172.118:8767
addnode=69.30.217.18:8767
addnode=159.89.15.114:8767
addnode=174.52.129.106:8767

then close and reopen - wait for full sync

The difficulty drop to 10k was mined very quick by an influx of hashpower of an extra 2.5TH - someone mentioned that they saw proof it was nicehash pointing hash power.
The 2016 blocks were mined in less time than the 1.4 days as targeted by the code, it only took approx 10 hours, the difficulty went back up and the hash power left. The high difficulty and now lower hashrate will have this level of difficulty for another day or two before it happens all over again.
It's gonna be like this for a while I think.

Ravencoin Asset FAQ
Now that assets and sub-assets are active on testnet, some questions have come up. I’ll address some of the most frequently asked questions. The word “token” and “asset” are used interchangeably in the document.
