Hi.

Im thinking about starting the development of a new wallet or client that looks and feels a bit more (lets be honest, WAY MORE) modern that the current one.
I have zero experience with coding with crypto, so if someone was interrested in helping and/or know someone who already started a similar project i could join.
Lately i have mostly been developing in node.js, react, etc. and if this could be useful for a project let me know.

UPDATE: I will also post this on the development forum, if this is not the rigth place.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Yeah I guess the development forum is a better place to post this. Still, thanks for volunteering to help. You may also want to join us over at https://steemit.com/trending/gridcoin

My first idea was just to hear if someone wanted or already had a project that i could contribute to, without the learning curve being to high (thats why i wanted a project in my prefered languages).
But yeah, get that there is a trust issue, so just gonna research some more before deciding how to contribute the best way.

I've created some posts for the 1-million-block where people can donate to:

* Stake Gridcoin's 1 million block and... get a prize!

* tell your story... why do you like BOINC and Gridcoin ?

* slogan + meme contest

* create Gridcoin media (pictures, videos, songs, ...)

* create adverts for the day (or the week) before Gridcoin's million block

* product ideas for Gridcoin and BOINC

anyone? Why there's no one except bots in this thread ? Whats the project rain thing? is it this lift of team limit or is it entirely something else?
Project rain, from what I understand, is when member of the group can reward the group as a whole with their own gridcoin. So if you rain 100 grc then it gets spit within the gridcoin group participating in that project, with the highest performers getting the highest relative percentage.

Who manages the 'rain' ? neural net?
And I don't get the reward part. So if I understood correctly some team 'xyz' (not team gridcoin) member sends his own GRC to his, lets say BAM account manager address and the that grc gets distributed along the members of that team, right? (makes little sense to me right now)

Does anybody now exactly know how this works out?

It think It's some kind of black box technology Cheesy Or at least we ask in the wrong page.
Whats up with the grc price ? Is it normal correction or something else?

And another question about magnitude.
I'm doing research with grcpool, it seems that my magnitude  is increasing about 1 unit per day (around 11 mag currently).
Can i calculate this magnitude increase to be stable in short term if I won't be shutting down hosts or increasing them?
And whats the period of RAC? More exactly what does Recent in RAC mean in terms of time?

The mag unit fell down to 0.15 :-(

* I just switched to PoS and will do PoR again once the mag unit is higher again

How to switch to staking as investor (PoS) only?

What do you mean by "black box technology"? Like you have no clue what all this is about or is it magical stuff? Tongue Maybe someone can explain it?
