Hi, I'm a newb. I've started doing mining and all this week, first with Prime, and then Protoshare coins.

I downloaded the Protoshare wallet from the right place. I've added all the "addnode <IP#> add" listed on this page: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=325261.0

addnode 162.243.67.4 add
addnode 162.243.54.126 add
addnode 37.139.29.236 add
addnode 64.90.183.137 add
addnode 180.183.205.118 add

I've installed the software on mutliple computers with the same result. I've tried to email the Invictus guys to see if they could help but no reply.

I've tried to send my Ypool Protoshare coins from my mining to my wallet and they never showed up. The green check mark at the bottom has never shown up. It sits at one hour for days. Have I lost all the coins I've mined that I tried to send to my wallet? Why is everyone else able to synch up by mine sits for days? I used Ypool because the wallet would never sync in the first place.

I started using another pool, whichever one that distributes coyote_miner. Seems pretty lame though, all my pcs appear to hash slower and it seems like the fee is 30%.. Any pool recommendations?

It has gone down a surprisingly high number of times for me so far.
this tripled my hpm, 3% fee, was built to solve issues with the 30% fee in the original coyote miner, and to compete with ypool, check it out.

Send me a message if you need me to respond to a post, or just send me some  $ADA in an amount that will get my attention = addr1qx7g7vzjtk9mcljxjy0vnewaljk33m67d227d95rsak8mmjdq5erwjygc05l6vftwdzy9qd3t4 9spl5kw5k6684gfawqw9r87w

Mining

In the Settings menu, you can choose to mine 1, 2, or 3 processes.

You can also use the debug console to start mining.

setgenerate true 1
setgenerate true 2
setgenerate true 3

After 4 or 5 minutes of mining, you can type 'getmininginfo' to see the hashespermin rate.

Note there is a 3 process maximum because of memory limitations on the win32 client. You can run a second or third instance of the program if you want to try running more processes.

FAQ
Q: I've set mining to start but my hashespermin shows 0, why?
You'll need to wait 4 or 5 minutes before that figure shows something meaningful. In the meantime, you can check on your CPU/Memory usage - these should be higher than usual if you're mining.

Q:Why is my win32 client crashing?
This happens because too much memory is allocated. If you type 'set generate' or 'set generate -1', this is likely to run too many threads, try to allocate too much memory, and crash. Use the settings menu to start mining or type 'set generate 3' - where 3 is the maximum. To run more threads, you need to start another instance of the client.

Q:How do I start another instance of the client?
You need to use a different port and data directory, here's a sample command line -
protoshares-qt.exe -port=5672 -datadir=C:\dataalt2

Q:Why would I want to be involved in another one of your coins after the MemoryCoin debacle?
This isn't my coin, I was just contracted to get it up and running with a basic client. As far as any altcoin has an 'owner' - that would be Invictus Innovations, who have bigger plans for it. This whole thread is an unofficial information thread to distribute and gather information about ProtoShares launch and mining.

Please keep discussions on-topic. Off-topic and inflammatory posts will be removed.

The exchange is down for most of the day. They are upgrading and doing maintenance on it. Will they have an English version of it?

Thanks I followed that guide in the link in the link - http://www.peercointalk.org/index.php?topic=798.0 - to install Primeminer.  Will that mine Protoshares?  If so now how do install the wallet.  I'm willing to share half the coins I make in the first seven days mining on a AMD A10 6700 24/7 thanks for any help.

I am getting maybe 1 PTS by mining for over a day. What is the total coin supply now?

I think it will reach a tipping point soon. With difficulty rising price will be nowhere near the effort spent to mine.
