what is the minimum amount of pts to withdraw from ypool.net

¿What is the best pool? I'm trying PSTPool

Im getting this right now

{
"blocks" : 3500,
"currentblocksize" : 1000,
"currentblocktx" : 0,
"difficulty" : 0.00000095,
"errors" : "",
"generate" : false,
"genproclimit" : 3,
"collisionspermin" : 15.16733801,
"pooledtx" : 0,
"testnet" : false
}

¿Good or not good?

¿How i verify if the pool pay me? ¿Pay per blocks or how?

Seems you are solo mining with the qt client. That's really slow.

Alright I want to mine protoshares. I signed up on Ypool.

And downloaded the "jhprotominer-yvg1900-M7gf-win64-generic" miner.

Now, I can't figure out how to run it. I'm a noob at mining.

How do I start the .exe to run ? Do I have to run it through cmd, if yes then please give the commands, it doesn't works with "jhProtoMiner.exe -o http://ypool.net -u < MY username>.<PTS_1> -p <MY password> -t 4 "

CPU - Intel i5 760

Windows?

I use a bat file to launch, which is just a notepad file with the extension changed to .bat. Uncheck "Hide Extensions for Known File Types" in Folder Options or it won't actually change the file type, but will appear to. The file picture will change to 'gears' at a larger size, so you know it's correct.

Unpack miner zip and put in C: drive. Then go to that folder and dig down to exe, now click top bar and copy address, this goes between quotes in bat.

t is # cores, 4 for you

can't remember what -F is

(you prob know, but no <> and one space before/after -o -p etc, syntax is everything)

Example:
Code:
start /D "your_path" jhprotominer.exe -o ypool.net:10034 -u yourname.1 -p x -t 4 -F 0

with values:
Code:
start /D "C:\jhprotominer-yvg1900-M7gf-win64-generic\jhprotominer-yvg1900-M7gf-win64-generic\win64-generic-1024M" jhprotominer.exe -o ypool.net:10034 -u LiteMine.1 -p x -t 4 -F 0

Compare with Primecoin at same pool, see what is more profitable!

Thanks for the help bro, I got it up and running after making some changes to your code, adding http:// to ypool.net and changing the port to 8080.
Also removed "-F 0".

With 4 threads my computer starts lagging, so what I want to know is if I sleep right now with 4 threads on, then in the morning if I close the miner to change the thread to 3 will my progress be disqualified because I stopped the miner before a share?

You might miss a share, but a restart is no problem. The pool just adds up all the shares it receives from you.

Thanks buddy, this is the first time I'm mining believe me  Grin

Two last questions for you:

1) What do you think will be more profitable for my i5 760 + 4GB 1600Mhz Ram, XPM, PTS, DTC or QRK?

2) In how many days will I be able to to mine one *winning altcoin from Q.1*

Also I had issues connecting what should the SOCKS proxy be set at? I edited it and forgot the original numbers

I'm getting about 180-190 c/m on an i7 3770k at 4.2 GHz on Linux. I suppose these are normal results?
Temps are a bit too high for my liking though, i'll probably set it to use less threads.

So I have almost a dozen machines running XPM solo mining right now. But new to PTS and looking to give it a try.

Some quick questions:

- Is the software in this threads OP considered the "official" client? I'm guessing it runs slower than the forked versions. Would OP's software here be analogous to Sunny Kings official primecoin client?

- Is there solo mining software that offers the same performance as some of the optimized pool mining software referred to over the last few pages (I prefer to solo mine as it does not rely on a 3rd party server)

- Any recommendations for solo mining clients if there are forks that are faster than OP's?

- OP is official.
- Check BitsharesTalk. There are some optimized miners there.
- Would not recommend solo mining.
