Should we support altcoins ?

Yes because altcoins is also part of bitcoin as it is helping the crypto world to be more popular. So many altcoins are now emerging so its a good news that we people starting to love the crypto tech.

from all points of view we should support altcoins. If you like the technology, especially if the team is innovating and bringing something new to the table, it deserves our incentive.

so even if this specific coin dies some day, it's innovation may be incorporated in whatever new coin is created in the future, making it better

We should definitely support altcoins, as the altcoin market is as broad as ever. There are coins for smart contracts and decentralized apps such as Ethereum, Cardano, Waves etc., there are coins for payment processing such as Ripple or Stellar, there are coins for anonymous transactions such as Dash, Monero, DeepOnion, Zec, etc., altcoins for super computing such as Golem or SONM and many many more.
Bitcoin is the one and first coin, but there is place and rationale for many more to come. Not sure, which of them will survive in the end, but these are interesting times in the crypto world.

Why not support altcoins? Some of the altcoins has the potential too and it us part of the cryptocurrency. By it,  we could get something more and more. Supporting both of the cryptos can make a big opportunity to have here.

Depends on a holder of a coin. If they wanted to support other altcoins then why not? there is no problem with that. Just like ETH or LTC I think this two are getting higher now. Just like bitcoin. We can support Bitcoin and Altcoins at the same time. So I think there is no problem with it. We should just know what coins should we need to support in Altcoins.

Ofcourse you should , this is where the new tech comes from. Bitcoin did great till this point , but it has its limits.
Ofcourse there are some shitcoins but some coins have some real interesting ideas/approaches to problems btc has.

Nearly all altcoins perform very different functions to bitcoin.
This does not mean that all altcoins are useful, but it does mean that the question of whether we should support them is not the question to ask.

The question to ask is whether the altcoin in question is useful and likely to find an audience.

LOL. Are you saying that we should also support shitcoins? Of course I'm also for giving support to alts but you have to be very careful what's coins you are going to invest. I advised that the top #1-10 is a good but don't look at coins that have to value at all and thinks that it can literally go x100 in the future. The only factor that it can do that if those pumpers decided one day to really push and pump that coin. But we all know what's gonna happen next, serious dumps that if you didn't exit on time, instead of getting a profit, you will incur lost on your part.

There's no question that bitcoin is the best investment, but the OP is asking if you are willing to support altcoins. The ecosystem is built not just on bitcoin market but altcoins as well. They have this kind of relationship. When once flourish the other suffers a slump, and it's rare that you can see both of the markets going green but we have seen it happening just this month. Again, I'm into supporting both markets, for me, its better to take advantage of bitcoin and altcoins.
