Many people will quit holding knowing that the price of bitcoin has been pretty steady lately and it's kind of alarming and worrysome to see bitcoin being like this. Though that's the thing, if you still think bitcoin's value will rise once again then you should keep on holding and believing that things would get better soon.

Yes, to be exact there is not perfect strategy in business. Sometimes your action may not be appropriate or will not gave you a better result. Lets just say that HODL strategy has only 60% if success.

I hear of hodl hodl hodl everywhere so I followed the strategy to hodl some token I got not long ago. To my dismay, the token was worth $120 as at that time and now it is $25. I can't believe this strategy of hodl.

I dont think that people started to lose the hope in crypto, it is just that the big whales who have a lot of coins are selling them, I dont think that small HODLERS also do that.

I think it's so because many users came into crypto when BTC started to rise up to 15-20k, but after everything started to fall they were disappointed and eventually they left.

there are two basic strategies anyways:
1. buy cheap sell at a higher price
2. short
HODL strategy is "not actual" just because bitcoin is not making ridiculously high price jumps
but this could change any time,statistically, end of the year is the time for this
so do not listen to nay sayers and keep your coins

Yes its not really actual. It because not all holder have good condition. There some holdier that they depend thier daily profit on a coin thats why they immediately sell there coin if they feel they dont have money for daily needs

HODL is indeed a primitive strategy, but it is proven effective. Like a predator, waiting for his prey patiently and then pouncing on him. For large investors, HODL is a source of income because it is definitely profitable. The question is how strong and how long to hold bitcoin to the desired price?

yes, I think many people say that holding a hold strategy is not actual. I think that they have a reason, when they only hold hold in a fluctuating market situation like now, they will not get income. I think the best now is to do daily trading in this bear market. indeed trading in the bear market is at risk. but in my opinion doing daily trading is still better than just holding, because we can still earn income. we also have to realize that the hold strategy also has risks, because we also never know what will happen eventually. so I also think that a hold strategy when a market like this isn't actual. I never said that I didn't believe in bitcoin in the future. I believe that in the future bitcoin will be bright. but this is only my current thinking, by looking at the current market situation, I think that doing daily trading is better than just holding.

This morning I saw an article where a guy made a simple calculation through Google trends about HODL strategy, and it showed that call to HODL used less and less from February of 2018. Popularity of word Bitcoin and crypto currency is also falling down.

Why it is so? Do not people believe in Bitcoin and it's bright future anymore?
No matter on such tend I am going to HODL my founds till bitcoin will not come back to 20k$

It depends upon the situation if the coins are active and has high volume in the market there is a need to scalp when trading. Buy low then sell high then buy back but if there is a need to hold because it has a great future and has good potential maybe I will buy for it in a dip price and hold and wait for the price to get high.

The most important thing to note here is that your hodl strategy completely addresses when to buy and sell. For projects with intrinsic value, it will be wise to hold for a long time simply because  the project will continue to grow. Projects such as Mfchain is expected to hold longterm value for investors because of the value behind the project. We will continue to see only projects with real substance survive the market in the long run.

People already know about bitcoin now, why would they continue to search it?  These google trends don't really show that the popularity has gone down, just the amount of new searches.

HODL is working and sometimes fails. There's no perfect strategy on trading but it's on how we ise it.
Many users are using the HODL strategy as of now because their investments in Bitcoins and Etherium if they don't hodl they will not get any profit from instead of loss a very big loss in trading. HODL strategy is always needed by every traders.

   I believe in holding, and I think each of us here is a bit of holder. It`s something that comes natural, what
ever you do in crypto-world you need to have some stash of some coin or token.
   Which one is the best for holding, I guess it`s Bitcoin and some other top coins, before all others. I have
many coins in many wallets after more than a year here. I still keep all my bought and earned coins, just
for notice some of them I bought when prices were here. I still believe in them and I still hold them, it`s a
long-term strategy, it`s a long-term planing.
