I have a simple way in choosing altcoins. I always visit coinmarketcap to know what is in the top 100 tokens in crypto and then I must know who increase value. After that I will visit their website and make some research about the happenings in that token and project. Study first and make some research about the project is a must to know if that token is a potential to grow and give you profit.

Then analyse the project team from their linkedin accounts if they are all from the same place or there is a diversity as their nationality. These are first 2 steps for understanding if the project is a promising one or not.
